Can anyone tell me the game number for last Saturday ( Reading ),I'm sure I've had the wrong ticket torn out of my season ticket book ?

    Well I still have 17 but 18 has been torn out, hence my confusion !

    The next stub in my book is 19 and my mate who sits in West Stand lower is 20?

    I think it was 17.
    Bit of a silly way to do it, IMO.
    It's understandable if each ticket has the oppo printed on. eg. vs Reading (or whoever)
    But it would save a lot of time at the turnstiles and get rid of any confusion if it was just a case of 'it's the 14th game being played at home, so ticket number 14' etc
    rather than, it should have been the 17th game, so it has to be ticket 17.

    Simply done it should be; forget about the postponed games and just use the next ticket in the book. simples ;)

    It's all getting very out of hand now. What I have left is stubs 13, 20, 21, 22 and 23. I thought Reading would have been 20, but it looks like tomorrow will be 20?? 17 was taken vs. Reading from East Stand turnstiles.

    Well west stand lower took 18 from me leaving 17 in the book, but I've only just noticed !

    I would assume that the reason they do it this way is that if you go for an upgrade or move seats for a game, you have to exchange the voucher for a replacement ticket. So someone could have given up their voucher prior to a postponement, so it sort of does make sense to me to agree the numbering at the beginning of the season. Although why the club can't publish a list on its website somewhere I have no idea.

    Or maybe next year don't have numbered vouchers, but print the names of the teams in alphabetical order? Might be more expensive to print though.

    So, saturdays game was match 17, yet the Huddersfield match a couple of weeks ago was match 18.

    Why is this such a concern? You look at the sign on the turnstile and present your book open at that page. Or if you're that worried, just hand the book to the operator and let them really earn their money by finding it for you.

    Going to sound like a proper bore but the way the ticket and accounting systems are conjoined means that each game is given a number at the start of each season so has that regardless. No teccy me but it was a bit of piece meal installation and as we descended then certain things went out of the window, such as electronic turnstiles etc. Trying to convert the stadium plan from one system to another was fun as the current one didn't realise rows are alpha as opposed to all numeric. And resulted in some mug having to count every seat in the stadium. Twice...Now back to hoping Cattermole remains Sunderland's holding midfielder for the foreseeable future.

    Was done once and abandoned because of touts in the PL, that is it meant people could sell the vouchers without having to pass on the books. Not much of a concern at present, I agree. Rock Spectacle has a point, but the club has used two letter vouchers from the back of the books this season, I believe, so it's not absolutely necessary to link the two.

    Saturday's game against Reading was 17 though? Maybe Watford will be 20!

    Reading was never moved, or postponed so i've got no idea why they changed the number.
    Especially after making a point of skipping numbers in order to keep rearranged games (Bournemouth) the original match number

    Because different turnstiles in different stands have taken different vouchers this season in at least 2 games.

    Complete chaos. Only Charlton could muck up like this. It would be better though if the North Lower turnstiles would put the match Number up again, small thing I know but bloody obvious.

    A bit concerned then that I have vouchers 13, 14, 20, 21, 22, 23 and C remaining yet have only missed the Millwall home game this season...

    If they put a number on the turnstyle I use, there would be no issue.

    However, that simplistic measure appears to be beyond them.

    Plus closing one of the 2 turnstyles in recent weeks, doesn't help.

    I bet we save at least £200 per game, getting rid of half the turnstyle operators.

    Exactly what I did, or so I thought, so why is 17 still in my book and why 2 weeks ago was Huddersfield 19 ( I think, although still confused )
