Charlton life World Record in one day attempt

Morning all. Recovering from heart surgery and very pleased to see the new day. Suddenly which league were are in next year doesn't seem quite so important. Have decided that I am going to spend a days bed rest reading as much of CL over the years as possible. Sweepstakes welcome on how long it takes me to get bored. Any suggestions on memorable threads from day gone by would also be much appreciated. All will culminate in tonight's match thread.
PS. I lied about next year league not being important. Massive game tonight. Sorry I won't be there. Should be fit for next week though.

Glad you came through it ok, speedy recovery and give the doom and gloom threads like 'Powell Out' a miss. The 'Is Danny Green's house good enough for him' thread or something like that had me In stitches for days and that was without any surgery :-)1

Here's wishing you a speedy recovery, and I hope CL can help in that.
I've lost whole days to Charlton Life so I reckon you can do a good 5-6 hours without getting bored. I recommend the Olly Groome thread, in fact everything around that time, post-Carlisie, was brilliant.0 -
Nice one SillyBilly. Glad it went well.
Enjoy your trip down memory lane !0 -
Wish you a speedy recovery any forgotten classic threads that are of particular favourite to you give them a boost up. Take care and enjoy.0

Get well soon.
The original "takeover, takeover thread" was good and Ketman's love life threads were funny.
I used to like AFKA's banning notes but can't find those anymore0 -
all the best.
Adrian's lost Blackpool love is one of my favourites.

Glad your on the road to recovery, quite liked the 'crap towns' thread, though wasn't impressed with some of the opinions on Hastings.....enjoy your day.0

Heart surgery is hardly an excuse for not being there tonight!!

"Caption Competition" and "Random Picture Friday" always make me laugh.
You're a solider for fighting through that. Good luck and get better soon.
You'll be back down the Valley before you know it....although, is that really a good thing?0 -
The Christmas time predictions on where we would be at the same time next year, who our manager would be, who our shirt sponsor would be, etc, used to be a good read.0

Anyone who can get through the original rumours thread deserves a medal (and an appointment with the head doctor).
Some good suggestions here already IMHO0 - Sponsored links:

Grateful for all the suggestions and good wishes. I'm enjoying this between dosing off. The one liner about Ben thatcher and Jody Morris cracked me up (Morris saying he'dgive his right arm for thatchers career and thatcher seen to be looking for an axe). Just my silly send of humour.....there are some gems on here.0

Seeing as it's your heart you will definitely want to give 'The new Bird on Countdown' thread a miss!
All the best for a speedy recovery!1 -
Get well soon SB
Can't remember the name of the thread but the one that had Trevor in it was a classic! Was that the Ketman love triangle one?0 -

Cheers AFKA. Just read that one through again. Absolutely hysterical.0

Excellent links for someone like me who is a relatively new Addick.
Given my lack of historical knowledge, can someone please enlighten me (having read the "100 reasons why you're not proper Charlton unless" thread) what the heck ETCYT stands for? I'd love to know.0 -
Just read through my one about Trevor, makes me proper cringe0
