Hamer 5 Always feast or famine with Ben .Last Tuesday he was my hero last night he was appalling. Some people were wondering why Ben was getting criticised for his distribution.I think he has got away with a lot in some games .Where was he last night for the second goal ? Imagine the comments and marks Thuram would have got for an identical performance. On the other hand we DON'T want an excuse to bring back our Standard Liege loanee ,Please get back to the Leeds game form Ben.
Morrison 6 Not a Right Back but gets an extra mark for keeping going,hope he can move back to the centre Saturday.
Dervite 7 Excellent goal ,gives him an extra point.
Wood 6 Stepped in and was adequate.Prefer the Dervite / Morrison partnership.
Wiggins 6 Loses a mark for the first goal.Otherwise well above average
Cousins 7 Links up well with Poyet these two really have been a bonus this season.
Poyet 8 Another superb display.
Ajdarevic 8.5 Just wish he could last the 90 minutes. MOTM for me the best creative player we have had since Reid
Jackson 7 Stepping up to the plate as skipper.Inspirational leader.
Reza 7 Beginning to show signs he could be useful
Sordell 8 Glad he scored lets hope his confidence improves now.There is a good player in there as his Watford and Team GB performances showed.
Obika Like him to start against Brighton. He has a point to prove ,but then again that is what I said about Church prior to the Reading game.
Harriott Like his trickery,but as said above his naivety defensively nearly cost us.Maybe Fox would have been a better sub for nursing the left wing to run the clock down.
Cort One of the most pleasant surprises of the night was seeing Leon on the bench.I was at the U21 game against Palace when he was subbed before half time and feared that was the last we would have seen of him.A short but significant cameo Leon would be very useful at the death of games when we need to see it out by providing an extra centre back especially when defending set plays.Riga got this right last night by making the sub just on full time rather then earlier as Powell often did.

Hamer 6 - Has played much better, but still easily our number 1 keeper.
Morrison 6 - Out of position tonight, much better alongside Dorien in the centre. Decent contract please.
Dervite 7 - Solid, another valuable goal, must give him a decent contract.
Wood 6 - Little bit rusty, but good to have in the squad.
Wiggins 7 - Great run when Reza should have scored!
Cousins 7.5 - Class act, versatile stylish player.
Poyet 9 - Could well become a Bobby Moore, Steven Gerard type player. Future England at this rate! (MOM).
Ajdarevic - 7.5 Class player, great skills, we need him next season hopefully for the full 90 mins!
Jackson - 7 Captain's game, great inspiration to rest of team!
Reza - 6.5 Showed skill last night, shame about the miss and bottling out of tackle. Best game for us at the Valley.
Sordell - 7 So much better than Spongy. Has a shot on him, albeit not always on target. Deserves place in starting line up.
Obika - 6.5 Thought he did OK.
Harriott - 6.5 Like Callum, but much better on the left!
Cort n/a - But great to see the big man back!
Note to JR. If you had bought Harriott on quicker, we would probably not conceded their 2nd goal.

Hamer 5 - Looked shaky and kicking was awful
Morrison 5.5 - Tried hard but exposed at RB
Dervite 7 - Has been impressive since Riga has been in charge.
Wood 6.5 - Fantastic in the air but worries me when the ball is on the deck. Solid though
Wiggins 7.5 - Solid defensively and great going forward
Cousins 7 - Going to be a big player for years to come. Athletic and does the donkey work.
Poyet 9 - Feel a bit sorry for Cousins as it looks like he upstaged by poyet. They are just as important as each other but Poyet just plays with a swagger and that bit of class.
Jackson 7 - Good shift and kept things ticking.
Ajdarevic 7 - Great goal. Get the impression he really rates himself as a player. Played well though
Reza 7 - Can't make up my mind on this guy. In and out the game but flashes of promise
Sordell 6.5 - Worked hard and deserves credit. Athletic and quick but his first touch is awful

Absolutely not a wind up. I thought we was very poor for nearly all the first half - if you look at a replay you will see he played lots of bad passes that put the receiver under undue pressure. I know we're trying to play a passing game out of the back but with Morrison at right-back that was always going to be difficult. Poyet made that worse.baller7 said:

Reza 7 - best CAFC performance. Yes he bottled one or two but he was getting more stuck in than before
Sordell 7.5 - When we look back, was SCP's biggest failing this season his inability to get more out of Sordell? He can play, he is prepared to chase & harry (not 90 min? it's a manager's job to correct that). Often a striker needs a tap-in to reignite their season...just maybe...

Hamer 6 - Poor Kicking and at fault for 2nd goal but allowed after Penalty save at Leeds
Morrison 6 - Did the best he could out of position .
Dervite 7 - Ok goal was big bonus
Wood 7 - Nearly scored look better in second half

Cousins 7 - reliable and worked hard
Poyet 9 - Class act.
Ajdarevic - 7 Good skills adds something different to the team. Fitness has to be questioned
Jackson - 7 More of what we expect from the skipper
Reza - 6 Indifferent some positive and few negatives
Sordell - 8 Offered more in first 10 minutes than Church did in 90 on Saturday. If we keep giving him match time I sure we will see the benefit

Fair enough that is your opinion. If you watched the replay you should have seen the ball he played to sordell in the first half, the block he made at 3-2 in our penalty box towards the end and the flick to reza for the third girl just to mention a few little things.AddicksAddict said:

I think in the first half, the defence was at sixes and sevens. The mark for Wiggins looks especially harsh and Morrison gave his all even though he looked uncomfortable at times. Second half, we were much better in the first 20-25 minutes and, as we all know, a winning result usually adds 1 point to each player's score. I did feel that it was hard game to mark the players last night. There wasn't much of a pattern to the game.uie2 said:

Hamer -5.5 (Not at fault for first goal but not good positioning for second - distribution not great. Still 100 times better than Thuram).
Morrison 5 - All at sea at right back. Not the answer to the right back - back up problem.
Dervite 6.5 - Gets a mark for the goal, positionally all over the place for the first Yeovil goal, + contributed to second Yeovil goal (I think it was Dervite)
Wood 6 - unlucky with defection - relatively steady
Wiggins 6.5 - Showed some desire to get forward.
Cousins 7 - Played well.
Poyet 8 - Classy - great contribution to the second Charlton goal and excellent covering.
Ajdarevic 7.5 - Good goal (crap goal celebration, did not celebrate the goal with team), some good skills but not sure about him, thinks he is class above Charlton and rest of team ? (IMO) A poor mans Andy Reid.
Jackson 6.5 - good attitude
Reza 7.5 - best game I have seen him play, good second half.
Sordell 7.5 - worked hard, and combined well with Reza. Getting in good goal scoring positions. Best game, I have seen him play for Charlton.0 -
