With only 7 games left, I don't think we can afford to mess around with the team selection too much, especially as we haven't really got anyone good to slot into midfield - and Jacko and our two young stars have been putting in a monumental effort in recent months.
As others have said, Tuesday's result at Leicester aside, Brighton's form has not been good recently and we have to really give this one a go (albeit I'm sure that Jose will make full use of his substitutes).
At least Lawrie had a breather on Tuesday - another guy who's been working like a trojan.
Would be delighted to take a point from this one.0 -
This is going to be a very tough week which will no doubt go some way to how we finish this season. Brighton will be bouyed by their midweek win whereas I expect our team is just exhausted. 2-0 Brighton and other results do not go our way making the next match very important again.0

Win on a Tuesday
We only win on a Tuesday.
Our record of WLWLWL has been going for a while, so we're due a loss. Mind you we have better form than Brighton at the mo. They've only won 1 in the last 7, so surely nothing to be frightened of.0 -

Guess who went to Brighton early in the week for a few days on the coast but realised today at 4.45 that left the tickets at home! Brighton and Charlton really helpful and `hopefully° tickets faxed through for tomorrow! Looking forward to a 0 0! Hopefully.4

Doubt we'll get anything at all. Shame really0

lets go there show them we are the bigger club by singing our hearts out, who cares about 0-0 lets beat them 4-0. Small time provincial rubbish, come on we are Charlton.3

hope they get nil, expect us to

Anything from this game is a bonus so play for the first goal. If we get it, shut up shop and hope they fail to get a couple for a turn around. If they get it, shut up shop and hope they don't get a couple more.0

Too much information. That's put me right of my porridge!LenGlover said:No great expectations for this match. If (when) we lose I hope it's not too much of a dent to the goal difference.
I'd be euphoric with a point and orgasmic with a win.....0 -
Sorry, can't guess. Can you give us some clues?Eynsfordaddick said:Guess who went to Brighton early in the week for a few days on the coast but realised today at 4.45 that left the tickets at home! Knowing Charlton, we will win today. This will produce posts that say "Riga is a genius", "always too good to go down" etc. Then, we lose to Barnsley and panic sets in.2
-
Hopefully Wilson will be back to bring in some balance to the back 4. If he is then I can see us nicking something here. If not and Morro continues at RB then we have a problem. With Wilson playing though we could get the 3 points and I think Hamar will play a blinder as he had an off game last Tuesday.

Would love to see Diego (if he scores that it) celebrate in front of their directors box squatting pretending to sh*t on the floor3

this is precisely the kind of attitude we rightly hate in supporters of other clubs. please consider your words more carefully.mchardaw said:lets go there show them we are the bigger club by singing our hearts out, who cares about 0-0 lets beat them 4-0. Seen as it's a Saturday and Brighton are one of the teams going for the play-offs I'm predicting a 3-0 loss...hope I'm wrong though.0
-
5-0 to them and we recover on Tuesday with a draw. (As usual far too much optimism on here)0
-
On the instagram video CAFC Official just uploaded, it strongly looks like Chris Sollys shirt is in the changing room!! In the squad!?!?0
-
Is it on radio at all?0
-
Obika out; Solly on bench; Wilson back at right back.0
-
Had someone sit next to me on Tuesday in Upper North, he told me that Solly was in contention and I just laughed it off, I wished I knew who he was now lol0
