Whatever happened meant they left the place in a real mess so Brighton closed the bars in our stands. Shame as they keep them open to take the pressure off the transport and watch the late kick off. Getting fed up of mindless .... Trying to ruin things.
As the game ko some at the front were arguing with the fans behind about standing. Sad to see.0 -
Some of our away following need to look at themselves, although I doubt if they would think what they do is unacceptable. Fueled by drink and drugs (Or both), they think they are funny and that their actions are the norm. They are scum, and we seem to be attracting more of these morons.3

It's not getting worse, it's just easier to highlight and talk about these incidents because of the Internet.

Saw a lot of faces I've never seen before, got to be said one of worse away games i've been too. zero atmosphere topped off by fighting among ourselves.1

Lots of pissed up idiots, but zero atmosphere.
Throw in a bit of scuffling and a general feeling of unease, particularly on the concourse behind.
Only good thing - I didn't take my son there to witness the surrender on the field and the behaviour off it.

Saw the thread title and thought some of you had indulged yourselves in the local culture a bit too much.7

Don't dwell on this rubbish, it happens to all groups of fans. Millwall are just the Barcelona of fighting each other.1

Certainly more idiots around than usual at away games in my opinion.
Just a generation that started supporting us a few years ago and can now get booze etc. and look up to people they probably shouldn't be in terms of how to act at a football match.2 -
Drunken/spaced-out youths at the front refusing to sit down and abusing other (older) fans. Foul mouthed adults abusing the players. This isn't how real Charlton fans behave.12

You know the internet has been around for over 20 years now... right?ValleyGary said:It's not getting worse, it's just easier to highlight and talk about these incidents because of the Internet.

It's an away game - these things happen. Away fans are expected to stand too, I genuinely feel a bit weird sitting down at away games. I'm more concerned about what happened on the pitch tbh, dreadful performance1

I think this post sums up the problems nicely.OsamaBenHamer said:It's an away game - these things happen. Away fans are expected to stand too, I genuinely feel a bit weird sitting down at away games. I'm more concerned about what happened on the pitch tbh, dreadful performance
I don't expect these things to happen at away games and I don't expect to stand either.

Looks like Callum Harriott's gangsta friends were in the away end2

I think certain games attract the larier end of the supporters, Saturday, Brighton...
There were a group of Charlton 'youths' drinking on the train down at 10am I was on, by 3pm they would have been well gone, though I'm not sure one or two actually made it in to the game as I saw a couple of them being spoken to by the Police beforehand0 -
It wasnt us. Palace fans and the media invaded our end.5

You could be a 95 old dear and cause trouble.....if your pissed out ya face.
It happens to the best, or most normal kind of people. No one's squeaky clean are they? Sounds disappointing, but, that's it...0
