I'm coming over from a friend's in Worthing so I think I'll drive to Hayward's Heath and take the train in.

Looking forward to this one. I've taken in Derby, Reading, Yeovil and now Brighton but back to California tomorrow.

Had a great trip but all good things come to an end. Mind you, going back to California isn't too bad a thing. :-)

  • 35 mins from leaving at full time to arriving at Brighton station. Queue properly marshalled so every train leaves full up. Been to lots worse.

I was very impressed with the organization. I was back in Beckenham before 7.

Dicks bar no away supporters allowed. Was it because of the trouble earlier?

That aside, a nice stadium. Good real ales. Good padded seats. Unfortunately decide to try the Piglet pies after the game, but they ran out as did the real ales. So instead of a promised past match experience, football, beer and pies, decided to endure the queues home. Apart from the football and result, a good day out. Ps. Are the piglet pies available anywhere else?

You were allowed to enter the home bars afterwards, I went to the West Stand one

That's what we was told DA7...by the security on the door, still we had a beer in the west stand and had no probs getting back to Lewes.

You can get Piglet pies at their main outlet in the North Laines in Brighton, not to sure if any other grounds sell them though.

I went in there before the game, was pleasantly surprised to see only six in the queue so though I'd try it our rather than the scramble in the ground.

We went in The East Stand Sports Bar after. It was decent, although no proper seats. Mostly a foot off the floor with no backs, giving you back ache after half hour.

Anyway, left at 5.45 after seeing all the results on one TV, Wigan v Arse on another & the lowlights of Brighton v Charlton, on a third.

Strolled straight onto a train with no waiting.
