So now it's between Millwall and Blackpool for the drop, depending on goal difference.
  • I think both us and Millwall will survive. Millwall looked doomed a week ago but have somehow won 2 away games. Blackpool and Doncaster have tough run ins and can't see either getting the 46-47 points i think is needed to be safe

A win on Tuesday and we're in a great position. I think Blackpool, Barnsley and Yeovil will drop. I can't believe how millwall have turned things around.
  • Millwall got lucky with the timing of their trip to Wigan. The win there gave them hope, if they'd lost that i think they were gone.

Millwall v Doncaster is going to be a massive game - If Millwall lose that I can't see them picking up any other points - If Doncaster lose it, their best bet is a tough home match against Reading for any points. Barnsley have to get ahead of us in their next 2 games -(us and Leeds). If we win tomorrow- that can't happen. Yeovil are gone.

Millwall will end up on more than 43 points. They are the team to watch

Anyone fancying us to go down can get 5/1 on skybet , insurance bet I suppose , soften the blow if we did go down.

Supposing we had enough points for safety before the last match, but 3 points for Blackpool would guarantee a drop for the Spanners. Would you want us to lose? I might.

I think a fair few Addicks would but personally I like to see my team win, even it is will be on a dodgy feed whilst on a Greek island.

Perfect scenario would be us being safe before the Blackpool game and they need to win which would put millwall down. I will be in fancy dress for that game dressed as a tangerine!!

For sure, easy decision for me.

As long as we are 4 points ahead of Blackpool before our last match against them, then we will be fine. Wouldn't want to be only 3 points ahead of them otherwise the goal difference can turn around quickly. We will win Tuesday night and draw on Saturday.

That would be great, I think Barnsley coming to The Valley having to win should help us as it may leave gaps at the back. It is more important that we don't lose. This game isn't all or nothing and a draw is not a disaster. Bolton have nothing to play for so hopefully we can get a result. Hopefully with the game being on a Friday and not a Saturday (when recently we always lose) will help.

    Hilarious thread.

A couple of weeks ago Barnsley & Millwall were down, but Yeovil were a danger.

Then it was Yeovil & Millwall are down, but Barnsley were a danger.

Now it's, Barnsley & Yeovil are down, but Millwall are a danger :-)

think Blackpool wont win another game and cant see us losing to them even if it would put Millwall down, next season will be good if us and Millwall stay up because with Fulham,Brentford and we could see Orient all in the championship there will be lots of local games

No way would I want to see us deliberately lose to hurt Millwall. Anyway we have still got worries of our own to concentrate on and that is what we ought to do.

I will be happy if the Spanners relegate themselves. I am still fairly hopeful that they will. However I was there for "Fortune 82 minutes" I laughed my ass off, and feel like I have been paying a heavy price ever since. So I'll just accept whatever happens.

That's why I'm still terrified. I think it reflects the way the league is the season more than the posters. Nothing is sure until the maths is done, which is why I think it's essential we beat Barnsley tomorrow. They are relegation escaping fiends, but if we beat them they need to overhaul an 8 point deficit with only 12 to play for; that's tough to get even assuming we lost our next 5. Same goes for Yeovil. It still doesn't mean any of them are dead in the water but it makes it less likely that they'll stay up at our expense. With them no longer at our backs we could focus on keeping another couple of teams behind us

Barnsley are well up for this game tomorrow and they are bringing more fans down then normal, a lot of them are saying this is their cup final now (recent phone in).

If any of the teams around us have got a strike force that scores the odd goal then I'd fancy them all day long.
