It's like watching paint dry so very apt, paint the Valley red.1

I shall be in red today. Considering wearing my fez to top it all off...0
-
im going to wear my usual dull light grey shirt today and hope for the best the beauty of being colour blind....0

In the words of David Pleat:
"It is up to the players on the pitch to inspire the crowd - not the other way around"2 -
He tries a Sarf Lundun accent when he says Charlton at the end.oohaahmortimer said:Wondered what norvern monkeys voice was booming out on that YouTube and it's good old Andy Hughes
hope he gets a transfer to A Block East stand in the summer so he can Marshall the troops rather than MSE7

“We beat Bolton at home last year to start our eight-game unbeaten run at the end of the season and let’s hope for something similar this time around!”
So says Katrien !
I have been more positive about the new regime than many, however this statement has really annoyed me! Just exactly where were you sitting when "We" beat Bolton last year Katrien?
That said will fish out my lucky shirt with Curbs signature on it.
Personally I think we are down already and this is at least in part a bit of blame sharing - We just aren't going to be red enough or passionate enough!

My Fbook newsfeed is jammed full of people digging out the retro shirts today. Some cracking old numbers0

Red jacket and shoes, about to leave home now

Very saucy @kimbo hope you don't catch a cold :-)2

Looked piss poor to be honest, not too many more people in red and the red programme pages are far too small to have a proper visual impact. Doesn't help half the ground being empty as well4
-
What a load a crap that was1
-
Very busy on the streets by the stall today but once inside it looked emptier than usual for a 'weekend' match, easter hols i spose1
-
Thought It looked ok not great but I think more people should of made an effort maybe it was down to the fact it wasn't that warm and people had coats on.2

It was a bit red in patches. Felt like I was at an alcoholics anonymous meeting2

Think it needed more preparation rather than 3 days notice2

Enough with us fans pissing about, save the money from the free programmes and that malarky and buy us a striker. please1

Walking up Floyd Road I saw shirts with Murphy, Di Canio & Jensen on the backs.Oh those were the daysAFKABartram said:My Fbook newsfeed is jammed full of people digging out the retro shirts today. Some cracking old numbers

It looked pathetic to be honest. You can only really do something like this when the ground is full and it's not a last minute after thought.3
-
Nice idea katrien...... for a school match. This is English football, not a fun day out.2
-
I agree the whole thing was a poor effort. Great idea but with a half empty ground it was ineffective at best. Can't help but think they should have sold the programme like normal and done a separate print run on larger red posters to hold up as what we had was too small to make a difference.
And @BDL not sure if you were told to say this but I cringed whenever you mentioned the "wall of noise". Wall of noise? For most of the match it was the quietest/nerviest I've heard the Valley for a long time. I'm sure the Bolton fans and any neutrals had a right old laugh at our intimidating "wall of noise".
With hindsight the whole idea was a good one but was a bit rushed after Tuesday. With more build up, better signs, and a bigger crowd it could have worked. The Katrien message on the pitch before hand was a bit weird too...2 -
