we must be on target for several new records this season.
I am sure there are people who can answer these questions
1. what is the lowest we have ever scored in a season
2. Yann is our highest scorer with 5 , what is our lowest highest ever score
3. what is the lowest goalscoring that has stayed up
Incidentally I think we shall up so long as we get 1 point for the next 3 games with just just low scoring defeats in the other two so long as we avoid defeat at Blackpool,
two nil nil draws and three 1 o nil defeats could keep us up

Since the formation of the Championship, the lowest scoring survivors were Stoke City with 36 goals in 2004/05. They finished 12th.

I understand the scoring is bad, but other than Watford we have conceded the least amount of goals in the bottom half of the table, no one ever speaks about that tho, maybe that just sands out to me as when I was at school I was a GK1

As if we're gonna score 5 goals in 4 games. If we stay up, we'll be the new record holders.Ben18 said:Since the formation of the Championship, the lowest scoring survivors were Stoke City with 36 goals in 2004/05. They finished 12th.

Seasons in which Charlton have scored less than 40 league goals..
1923/24 - 38 goals in a 42 game season - Tier 3
1969/70 - 35 goals in a 42 game season - Tier 2
1979/80 - 39 goals in a 42 game season - Tier 2 - Relegated
1987/88 - 38 goals in a 40 game season - Tier 1
1989/90 - 31 goals in a 38 game season - Tier 1 - Relegated
2001/02 - 38 goals in a 38 game season - Tier 1
2006/07 - 34 goals in a 38 game season - Tier 1 - Relegated
2013/14 - 31 goals in a 46 game season (four games remaining)
I left out the war shortened 1939/40 season.

Blimey. That really puts it into perspective.0

Pretty sure El Karkouri was our top scorer one year with 50

Unless JJ gets a couple, Yann's 5 isn't going to be overtaken. Shaun Bartlett managed just 6 in 2004/5 to be our top scorer that season but Yann's efforts has to equal if not beat our lowest top League scorer of all time.
Of course, if Churchy had been allowed to play all the games instead of just 36 he probably would have more than doubled his season's total of 3.

See above. Shaun Bartlett thrashed him with 6.CAFCsayer said:Pretty sure El Karkouri was our top scorer one year with 5
