I don't mean the obvious such as Lisbie, but the players we paid money for or signed on a free, came with a reputation and totally bombed out.

Two from the distant past:-

Maurice Setters
Barry Endean

Jack Burkett - ex West Ham full back. Came to us in 1969 with a big reputation.

Ralph Milne - ex Aberdeen star, who completely bombed with Lennie's top flight Charlton - then got signed by Fergie at Man Yoo.

    good question

In recent years, Marcus Bent and Faye.

Redfearn and Rommedahl in terms of not reaching their potential with us.

The triple signing of Jeffers, Murphy & Rommedahl was supposed to push us on and only one (briefly) came through before he too showed us that those players that are not at the top level in terms of skill to control games and not honest enough to recognise that hard work is essential to make up for it are the ones that wind up sending smaller clubs with aspirations back to square one because we try to rely on them.

Traore, Faye ,Cashinthebaink, Denise of course..definetly Andy "Fatter than Reidy" Jones, Gary Poole, Gary Rowett...the latter two were totally injury proned, but undoubtedly talented when fit....ish

    King and Appleton were awful!

Terry Bullivant was a disappointment given that we spent a fortune by our standards on him.
