Hamer 6 first goal not his fault. Need to see second again.
Solly 7 very very good. A lot came down the wings.
Morrison 5 first was his fault. Had a bad game I reckon.
Dervite 6 better than Morro. Likes to carry the ball.
Fox 7 great work for our first, won the ball back and played it to Harriott. Looks very confident.
Harriott 8 two brilliant assists. A completely different player to last week. Typical winger who is brilliant away from home as he's going to get less pressure and stick from own fans.
Poyet 7 again very good. Was a calming influence.
Cousins 6.5 looks so much better in the middle. Battled well. Was constantly fouled.
Jackson 6.5 didn't have a lot of time on the ball but his leadership won us the game. Was watching him closely and he was constantly g-ing up our players.
Church 6 worked very hard for the cause. Off the ball he's very good, on the ball he's not so good (as we all know)
Sordell 9 opposite to church. Off the ball he looked lazy in terms of winning back possession. On it, he caused them so many problems. Deserved his hat trick. Very happy for him.
Ajdarevic 7 was good when he came on. I'm glad he didn't come on in the first half because he looked knackered towards the end!
Wilson n/a great sub at the perfect time.
Obika n/a was as happy as anyone at the final whistle.

The most pleasing thing about this afternoon was the fact we were dead and buried in the 8th minute. We could've easily crumpled further but no. We kept our heads up and deserved all the points.9 -
Hamer - 7 Remained calm late on.
Solly - 7 Out of position a lot early on but got it together really well in the 2nd half.
Fox - 7 Very calm and another promising performance.
Morrison - 6 Had a bad spell 1st half but won plenty of headers in the 2nd half.
Dervite - 7.5 Some very classy moments in the 2nd half.
Harriot - 8 Found space and used it well. Well done.
Poyet - 7.5 Lots of important interceptions.
Jackson - 7 Some good tackles and the odd nice pass.
Cousins - 7.5 Very steady game and offered a bit coming forward. Just wish he could sort his shooting out.
Church - 6 A couple of decent links with Sordell. He did ok.
Sordell - 9 You've all seen the finishes but he also lead the line well and had a couple of other decent efforts.
Adjarevic - 7 Looked good on the ball and would be a serious goal threat if he was fit.1 -

I was't there so can't comment, but just interested in why Sordell never had a 10? We were 2 down and his goals dragged us back into the game and eventually won it. Also, when was the last time a striker scored 3 for us............in a week let alone a game.0

I gave him a 9 because his goals were extremely well taken and he led the line quite well but a 10 would logically have to a completely flawless game and I don't think it was quite that.Its_Hamer_Time said:I was't there so can't comment, but just interested in why Sordell never had a 10? Hamer 6 - Was very unhappy before and during the early part of the game for some reason. Blameless on goals.
Solly 5 - Poor start; absolutely culpable for 2nd gaol; improved later.
Morrison 6 - Struggled with Nuhui early and to blame for 1st goal; improved later.
Dervite 6.5 - Competed well
Fox 6 - Looked out of his depth early on, & breathed a massive sigh of relief when Antonio went off injured.
Harriott 7 - Best game for a while, and two assists!
Poyet 6.5 - Struggled to make an impact early but did well in 2nd half
Cousins 6.5 - Played in about seven positions as the game changed thru subs and tactics; still no shooting boots!
Jackson 6 - Little impact, but worked hard
Church 5.5 - Tactically withdrawn to right wing after the crazy first 15 mins when we could have been 5-0 down; did OK
Sordell 8 - He scores when he wants (provided the defence is as slow as Llera)!

Hamer 6.5 Not at fault for either goal. Steadying influence in second half. Distribution could have been better.
Solly 7 a bit out of position early on but had a great second half snuffing out their wingers.
Morrison 6 hesitant in first 20 mins and distribution lacking direction.
Dervite 7.5 becoming the most assured centre back. Like the way he brings the ball out of defence, but is guilty of overhitting long passes.
Fox 7.5 assured performance for a youngster
Harriott 8.5 two assists and caused their defence problems all day
Poyet 7 first touch not as clinical as usual, but tidied up some difficult situations.
Cousins 7 worked hard and was constantly pushed without any protection from the ref.
Jackson 7 a bit anonomous in first half, but drove team on in the second

Sordell 9.5 Clinical hattrick
Ajdarevic 7.5 Linked play well when he came on to take some pressure off. Not sure about all the little flicks.0 -
Hamer - 6.5 (Not at fault for either goal)
Solly - 7 (Took a while to get going but he stepped it up a gear each time)
Morrison - 6 (Looked unsteady first half and improved second)
Dervite - 7.5 (Was a rock won a lot of aerial battles, lots of stop tackles tight to his man and composed in playing out from the back)
Fox - 7 (Was tested a lot early on they switched it wide early and quick was direct with pace, he stuck to the task when we was on top he was very composed on the ball got forward looked decent, second half just cleared the ball when they resorted to hoof ball)
Harriott - 7.5 (Lost possession a lot but at times when he had got himself time and space with the ball played it early and in doing that got 2 assists improved decision making instead of trying to take on players or over playing it)
Poyet - 8 (The class act in the middle, great first touch kept it simple, dictated the tempo showed his range of passing and they couldn't run or pass though the middle he makes it look so easy when he has one of the hardest most discplined roles on the pitch)
Cousins - 7 (I perfer him as a central box to box player, but was quite effective at carrying the ball driving forward. Was fouled (Kicked/Shoved) 4 or 5 times not once did the ref blow)
Jackson - 7 (Anonomous is the best way to describe him first half, was organising and leading the the team though and improved over the game)
Church - 6.5 (Quiet but worked hard and when he switched to the right we had more balance and better shape so even though he had no direct impact it improved the performance)
Sordell - 9 (Didn't want to defend to start with Can't win the ball in the air but attacked the channels good movement to get in behind on a number of occasions and his finishing was composed right into bottom corner caused defence a number of problems and even when on his own isolated kept working forward pressure and actually protected the ball used some strength, rewarded for his effort played and scored a lot like Darren Bent)
Ajdarevic- 7.5 (Came on and got stuck in straight away, wanted to make things happen always looking for the ball some very nice clever touches created couple of chances)

Tbf a fully fit Solly would maybe have dealt with it. Hopefully for the last 3 games and over the summer he will keep fit and we'll see more of the Sols we saw over the last couple of years. Solly did improve, as did the whole back line - quite frankly they had to!!! To allow Maguire - who was on the ground, with his back to goal - to control the pass, stand up, shift the ball, and then get his shot away without any sort of challenge was terrible play from Solly. If fit, and match-fit too, it probably wouldn't have happened, but it did, so I marked him accordingly.AddickFC81 said:
