A tricky one to predict. It's Saturday for a start, and we always lose 3-0 on Saturdays. And there's the Tuesday game to consider, surely we'll want Sordell playing against his old club?

What we need is Darren Ditcher back for one game...

    Do you mean Darren Pitcher?
That was the headline in the Sun (I think) after he got the winner to knock Blackburn (when they were the moneybags team) out of the cup, "Darren Ditcher"!
After that his agent persuaded him he was the new Pele, and he ended up leaving us to go to the dark side...

I consider Blackburn to be one of our "Bogey" teams. We lost in vital games to them 1-0 in the old Full Members Cup Final at Wembley in 1987 and 4-3 at home in 1958 when we only needed a draw (and they needed the win) to win promotion to the old First Division. I attended both games and still feel the pain. Not optimistic. 0-3 ):

BUT, hoping to be proved very wrong and the lads surprising us two games running with a result for another vital point or even three? You never know with Charlton.

Surely you are forgetting our shock cup win a few years ago? 1996?

    We don't do home wins.

Not surprising given the level of foul mouthed abuse from so called. 'supporters' in the Lower West Stand. Even Jose had to turn around and remonstrate with them at the last home atch. They are around rows K and L seats approx 119 and it is about time they are got rid of but unfortunately the people around them put up with it at every match. The personal abus directed at certain players is an absolute disgrace.
Fair play Riga, but that's absolutely shocking "support".

So predictable that all the the usual doomsters and gloomsters are giving their negative predictions just like for Monday' s game at the Wendies..........................oh hang on a minute, still if it gives them comfort COYRs :-0

This will not be easy and much will depend on the first goal. However I think we will score first but then sit too deep and Blackburn will prevail as 2-1 winners. Then its time to anxiously check out the other scores and I am quite sure at least one will go against us.

Blackburn will be pushing forward, hopefully there will be some room to hit them on the break.

I'm not too far from those jokers - people round me are getting seriously fed up with them - sooner or laterthey are going to cause a fight and then we'll get the condemnations on here about fans fighting among themselves...

Get the L on your left cheek and sers on the right - should save you the cost of an O.

2-0 to the mighty Reds. With Harriott on the left and the prolific Sordell in the middle we just can't go wrong.

no back to back league wins all season, can the law of averages finally work in our favour and deliver us that most welcome stat of two in a row? it couldn't come at a better time .....

They will score 3 more goals than us.
    So, 0-3 or possibly 5-8, I can't decide.

No rhyme nor reason to it but I'm feeling unusually optimistic for a change and fancy us to get at least a point.

    Famous last words....

Blackburn have to get above 4 teams and need two wins, from their last two games, for their really slim chance of making the play offs ......
So they have to go for it
Hopefully we can exploit their gung-ho approach

Looking forward to a few beers in Greenwich and a few more up around Tower Bridge after, will be a good day out whatever the score, a draw wouldn't be a bad result if other results go our way, but I'm getting a bit fed up thinking about others in the mess, so it's a 2-1 victory for me.
  • Postive awesome display 3-1 get in there
  • Still at work with another job to do yet

Going to be tight be I ain't missing us bag another 3 points to guarantee safety

3 hours' sleep, jet lag and a massive bag with me but I'm going straight to The Valley from Heathrow. Actually that's a lie, I'm going to The Lib.

    1-1, Blackburn scoring first.

Looking forward to JR playing the strongest team available for these two games. It's time to go for it, can't rely on any result on last day of the season.

If I've got this right - If Barnsley lose away to Boro, then they will be relegated as the most points they can get is 42. Yeovil were relegated last night, so that would be 2 out of 3 places gone. Then if Blackpool lose at Wigan the most points they can get is 46, so theoretically if we win today and both of the above happen we will retain our championship status....I think I've got that right as a win today will give us 48 points.................right?

    Spot on RM.

If Charlton beat Blackburn OR Watford AND

Doncaster lose to Reading OR Leicester OR
Millwall lose to QPR OR Bournemouth OR
Blackpool fail to beat Wigan OR Charlton

    then Charlton are safe.

That's correct. Or we could lose today and win on Tuesday and be safe by the time we play Blackpool.
