    he can talk some sense but I know what you mean about his voice. I watch the rugby on there and Austin has a similar voice but is by far the most knowledgeable about the game imo.

    I find him the perfect cure for insomnia.

    A brilliant footballer in his prime but as a commentator , he sounds like an accountant .

    Can't stand the whole 'if there's a touch it has to be a foul/penalty', he's halfway falling down already. Never a pen.

    Would be difficult to find a worse commentator, he's just so uninteresting. Adds nothing to the game at all, no analysis.

    If only BT could find an ex England player that has also actually managed a club; is well respected by all in the game; is interesting and articulate; and also available.
