What's the oldest piece of memorabilia that's been donated?

We have a 1921 contract for Alfred Kingsley who used to play pre Great War for the amateur side and a couple of 1914/18 items A-I-E.
The early history of the club 1905/1920 remains a bit of a mystery with local papers being the best source of information we can find. For instance something as obvious as indentifying 2/3 of the clubs players who were killed in the Great War is proving tough at the moment.
We are hopeful that the establishing of the museum will interest people to go through those loft boxes and perhaps uncover something we can see and photograph to further and preserve our knowledge of the club. Items can be loaned for a short time, they dont always have to be given.
We are really keen to alternate the exhibits so people can visit more than once a season, imagine the interaction between grandparents and grandchildren when looking around and the memories it could evoke. In turn this would strengthen the clubs identity both historically and locally and without doubt "enhance the matchday experience".
Its a very exciting project but with all volunteer projects takes some time to get fully up and running but we have certainly come a long way in a short space of time.5 -
We also have the 1921 survey of the Valley.
The earliest item we have been told about is a 1907 Woolwich League Champions medal.0 -

Great item, would love to see all the pages but I think the best thing would be to link your site to our so that we don't duplicate the work. Just amazing just how much of the Club's history is out there and how little is with the Club.
I have been told that there is a Sieman's work newsletter that mentions the very very early CAFC but have never seen it. I think yours must be the earliest supporters newsletter. I hope it has lots of complaints about other supporters' standing/smoking : - )

It is numbered 1 but there may be earlier. Would be nice to know.

Just a quick reminder that if you have an interest and are free this evening there is a preview night for Museum members tonight at the Valley between 17:00/20:00, if you are not a member you can join on the night.
Whilst we are still some way off obtaining the display cabinets it is a chance to see cup winners medals, Stuart Leary's boots, Clive Mendonca's hat trick ball from Wembley and much more.

Fantastic to get some of our history out on display last night and to see a few lifers who came along. I am really excited about this museum being able to tell the story of our club, through a fans initiative, to future generations. We are a special club and the exhibits showed that from the obvious items like FA Cup winning medals and Clive Mendoncas hat trick boots and ball to Valley Party Ballot Boxes and original grand stand seats. To misquote Jose the museum will "made in Charlton"3
