From all the people that I speak to they say he has done really well this year, so why has he been droped from the starting eleven for someone whos best days are behind them?

No idea. He is far superior to Holland in my opinion. I know Holland runs around a lot but if you watch him, his first instinct is to go backwards every time. That's fine for keeping possession, but surely a player in the "defensive" mould needs to be able to tackle and he can't. I'd play Semedo over him every time.0

We desperately needed Semedo's qualities out there today.
Matty is a model pro but his best days are behind him and even at his peak he was never a great tackler in midfield which is what we want him to do.0 -
should definately be playing even if not in midfield. I love Powell but he's shot his bolt and Samedo would be a better option at left back. Probably be right back now until Moo2 returns.0
