They'd have to join the Red Devils or whoever flew in on final day of league one season.MSE7 said:yeah. some clubs like derby, burnley etc do have one of those. Anyway all you north upper crew are fooked unless you bring a parachute.
best will we get is a bunch of old boys with zimmer frames coming out the west lower.0 -

Possible my favourite Charlton life moments. Sense of entitlement. Lol!PL54 said:Before the final game of the recent promotion season people on here we're wetting themselves in anger at the prospect of a pitch 'invasion'.

Mid 70's?
Half time pitch invasion against Sunderland that sort of petered out when they got on the pitch to.
If remember rightly our invasion was in response to theirs.0 -
Definitely a personality aspect involved as far as Charlton are concerned. Look around you at the next home game, there really aren't many people you would look at and say they would have it in them to go running on a pitch.
I was at the Carlisle game, and even that wasn't particularly strong as far as promotion pitch invasions go.1 -
Me too. There's a great video that someone recorded on their phone of the invasion and you can hear a Charlton fan booing and chanting off, off, off!cafctom said:Definitely a personality aspect involved as far as Charlton are concerned. Yeh, but you had to be there to shout off, off, off! :-)Friend Or Defoe said:

I think after the playoffs only us and Fulham will be the only 2 London league clubs who haven't played at the new Wembley, unless you also count AFC Wimbledon.0

We'll never know but I wonder if we'd won at Bramall Lane in the 6th round, there would have been one :-02

My mate got ejected because of that & we saw him getting carted off again the next day on The Big Match.Baldybonce said:Mid 70's?

We had one bloke running around at Blackpool, but their stewards weren't really that arsed.0

Bill and Maureen Measure were identified and interviewed on Talk Sport this morning by Colin Murray.buckshee said:

It is worth listening to especially the end when Murray asks for a follow up interview and Maureen says it will have to be timed to fit in with her Yoga Teaching.

I find pitch invasions to planned.
now if we invade the pitch on the 17th minute in a game between us and Bolton on a Saturday in September then I'll be surprised.
*I now realise we can't do this as I have just planned it. but you get what I mean. (see you out in the centre circle on Saturday 13th of September. Bolton won't know what hit em)1 -
Often get that stealers wheel feeling in the East Stand, Clowns to the left of me,jokers to the right.cafctom said:Definitely a personality aspect involved as far as Charlton are concerned. with a pitch invasion you have just got to seize the moment. Its a shit or bust situation. Just go for it...
when one goes on then the sheep will follow...

Whatever happened to the Mankini matey that legged it on during a TV game at The Valley? He's the best I've seen.1

Rotherham fans shot their bolt early with the pitch invasion........0

We have too much of a geriatric following for all that vaulting over advertising hoardings.1

I love a pitch invasion but only one I've seen was the wolves game in 96 and like someone said no one really knew what to do. The recent ones at Orient and Man City were great.0
-
My favourite was when Man City got promoted at Blackburn around 2000 and filled the pitch.
Doing it on your own pitch is one thing but filling the pitch away from home is a different level.1 -
Didnt some bloke strip and run on to the pitch against Aston Villa (?) in our first Premier League year... Am sure they waved themselves in front of the opposition Goalkeeper who just stood there as still as a statue...
Just a bit awkward (Like for that bloke who ran on to the pitch after we won the League One title against MK Dons) when those sheep dont followMSE7 said:

They have a fantastic invasion when they won promotion to League one they were already on the pitch by the time they scored their second!oohaahmortimer said:Rotherham fans shot their bolt early with the pitch invasion........

Decent pitch invasion at the end of this thrashing for us at Maine Road. This is still one of my favourite Charlton related memories and when the 4th and 5th goals went in within about a minute of each other, the roof nearly came off the place.0 -
I'm sure we all spilled onto the pitch after beating Preston at the Valley in '75 to clinch promotion to Division 2. In fact we definitely did. So, we're looking at a once in every 40 years event!0

I think our ground has become a security state! people wont do it because they are scared of being ban for life from the club..
Thats the truth of it0
