Ex Charlton players with the most international success

Upon reading earlier (bank holiday quiz) about one of our ex players missing a penalty at a World Cup.

Made me think, what ex charlton players have had the most international success?

We have plenty that have made it to finals tournaments.

Any of them wona cup?

African, Asain, American, Euros... World Cup?!

Any at all?

Maybe even a more highly regarded player that played particularly well for their country.

What about the player who has played for us and has also taken charge of a team at the World Cup finals?

Was Don Welsh the first Charlton player to score a goal for England?

Could say Scott Parker cemented his place in the England team for about 18 months.

A success story there in some ways as a Charlton youth product.

(oh f*ck now I've gotta mention Defoe)

The most successful international footballer, whilst playing at Charlton, may be Trevor Edwards who was in the Welsh squad that reached the world cup quarter finals in '58.
