Disc Golf

I've recently wrote a feature for my uni course assessment and thought I'd stick up on a blog, link below if anyone fancies a read.

Has anyone played?

The course in Croydon is free for anyone to turn up and have a go, after doing this I'm really interested in chasing it up and getting involved!

I played in the US last year while on holiday. It was a mountain course (Crystal Mountain, WA), but good fun. My wife couldn't hack it though and gave up after one hole!!!

Seen some quality hole's in one on the internet from people in the US, seems quite popular over there.. Can imagine that mountain course had some pretty amazing sights where you're playing!

Yea, it was rather steep. That was one reason my wife gave up - her uphill "throw" landed and just rolled back past where she was standing. Not much fun if you end up farther from the hole each go!!! Later, going downhill, I was just very careful not to launch it in case it rolled all the way down the mountain...

  • How do you play - with a frisbee? I always thought boxing snooker would be a good sport.

Two frisbee's actually. One light for the distance you need when "driving", and a heavy one for "putting" when close to the basket.
