Reason behind Riga not being appointed .. 100% genuine

From a extremely good source .. 1 club to another

We was chatting about things then I dropped the riga bomb

I asked him if he knew why Riga was never chosen, in a near word for word phone call :

"Well from what I know he wasn't keen on riga cause of the standard walk out a couple of years back , granted he let him leave but that was because of his family , he didn't want to risk the team doing we'll but riga walks out mid season due to family issues and it messes up our season,

With Peeters Roland knew he would be desperate for the job and he has a fantastic reputation in Belgium for youth and that suits RD's policy down to a tee , he always thinks bob will be long term if it works out and wants him here for a while ..

I asked " but in that case why the 1 year deal"

Reply: money .. That's what is all about RD believes in this guy but has to cover the club financially hence the rolling 1 year deal , if it doesn't work then we don't have a big pay out to sack him although RD is extremely confident of Peeters.

By this time I had to go .. Instead of asking about poyet ( I didn't think ) I asked about COG .. Stupid me , he said

" From what I have heard he was asking for stupid money .. More then yann , we made a decent offer as we want a target man , but it appears his head has gone and thinks he is a consistent striker when infact this was his first good season although they are still negotiating, Peeters wants a big CF cause of how he uses the wings I have heard

Then unfortanuly I had to go .. This is honestly 100% if you look on my previous posts I post what I think is true, this guy told me yann was going couple of days before it was confirmed etc

I'm not happy riga went but I can see why is RD wants stability and financially stable contract .. I can see why.

I posted as soon as I got all info , thanks

Ps* if there is many mistakes I'm sorry as I wrote on my phone

Yeah, cheers mate. It's odd that somebody on the BP thread arrived independently at that exact same reason for RD letting Riga go

Before you ended your conversation did you ask your fairly high up contact at Charlton if it was ok for you to broadcast this 'confidential' information on Charlton Life? If not then I'm sure he'll be delighted to read this!

What even the football forum for the Club you work for? seems odd.

Well of course .. So I don't post information on there ? If you don't work at a football club you wouldn't understand what's actually written in our contract of employment so why question it ? I could hear about a player we could sign and put it on there forum .. Think about it

Would I really just make that all up ?

You work for a football club and they won't let you look at football websites? That's a bit off.

It was an observation, not a criticism and just not the sort of thing I would do.

Guys think about it .. If I hear something and post on the clubs forum before the club release it then it's embarrassing for them and they will have a "leak " so they cover it all their end .. Seriously it isn't rocket science, trust me I don't like RD that much to go to all that effort for it to be bull ,

Please don't not tell me about rules where I work .. When you couldn't be any further of the mark if you don't believe me then fair enough but don't tell me about my place of work.

Can understand they wouldn't want info leaked or rumours growing from internal staff??

Honestly I don't expect everyone to believe me to be honest thing that winds up is the questioning of where I work and telling me how it is there

in this you mention a one year rolling contract - is this correct? it is quite different from the one year contract I had heard
