Can't stand them as a Country or football team. Esp with recent relevant Falkland issues.
They detest us with a passion yet some people would support them?!? Beggars belief.

Belgium. My mums family come from there so I always keep an eye out for their results. To be fair I have followed then all through qualifying as well so it isn't just because "England are out" ;)

I'd like to see Chile do well as I like their style of play.

Erm, England? Not sure why people would support another country to win a tournament, unless there is some sort of underdog element involved.

Personally I'm loving everything about this World Cup and hope it keeps going how it's started, yes I'm gutted we're probably out (baring a miracle) but I've seen some fantastic games so far and I hope that as the 'big' teams start to meet in the knockout phase that'll only get better...Holland and Germany have been my pick of the bunch so far, but it's really been all out attacking football with an average of 3 goals per game, long may it continue

Seeing as we need Italy to do us a massive favour, we want them to win. So essentially we'll all be supporting them until after the game Tuesday!

Campsite is run by Nederlanders, mum was Italian but secretly I'm rooting for Chile.

No one for me, I'm looking forward to qualifying 2018.
Can't get my head around supporting another team. Taking an interest yes, but not willing another country on.

If you genuinely have no connection with another country, or no money on them to win etc, how can you possibly celebrate their success?

And Argentina ffs, they'll be over the moon if we go out this early.

Has to be Germany, they play good football and have done what we as a nation should have done in 2000. Rebuilt from the bottom up. Very well run footballing nation, and I really enjoy watching them. Also lovely country, and the beer's not too sad either!!

Don't support anyone, but hoping that Chile and Columbia are rewarded for their great play with a run to the semis.

Chile. They've been my second team from the start. I've been a bit of a fan since the 90s, for a mixture of footballing and national anthem reasons.

That's an extraordinary and mind-boggling claim. Of all the people on here why would you claim to be PL54?

Always had a soft spot for the US in football.
Also would like Japan and Korea to do well.
Got money on Germany, Argentina and Belgium.

Also just as important that Portugal don't progress to the next stage. Cheats, cheats, cheats.

Assuming Portugal are going out too, will follow the Dutch more than support them as such. Then its more a case of wanting certain teams to lose - Brazil and Argentina for example.

My grandfather on my dad's side was Argentinian so will partly support them, otherwise in my opinion the best two countries to of never won the World Cup were the Hungarian side of the fifties and the Dutch side of the seventies so I think Holland deserve to lift the title (nothing to do with my surname).
