Thames Water

Is it now compulsory by law to have a water meter installed ?

Previously I believe you had the choice. Advice please.

I thought it was a choice (if not yet installed) but moved into a new place with one and they said you cant have it removed so it's a one way transition.

Worth getting for a small flat with 1-2 infrequent users. More costly the more people there are (obviously)

I got mine fitted last month, done in about 30-45 minutes, they reckon it should save me about £45-£50 a year

We'll all have to start bubbling, to save money :-)

"If it's yellow, let it mellow.

If it's brown, flush it down".

That's what it said in my brochure on reducing water consumption to lower your bill, once a meter is fitted.

Apparently you use around 10 litres of water every time you flush the loo.

Are you sure about that Oggy , even after a ruby?

It means there is no need to flush urine straight away. If your excrement is yellow, you might want to think about a visit to the quack.

Remember Ken Livingstone coming out with that phase years ago.
