    BTW,

    Harry Gerard 2015
    Kadell Daniel 2015
    Tariq Holmes-Dennis 2016

^I'm sure at least two, maybe all three of these can play wide - lazily filed under CM though

I hope that Pope is our number one next season. He did really well at York.

Handy list. Would be better to have it in height order though.

He did brilliantly, but I'm nervous about his inexperience at this level. Would prefer us to acquire a seasoned old pro to build a rapport with the defence pre-season, and for Pope to understudy him for a year or two.

Gerard from what I've seen is more a central mifielder that can play out wide. Daniel was called a left back when he was at Palace, but for us he's played left wing, right wing and central midfield - not sure it's clear what his best position is. Not sure if Holmes-Dennis has played much as a wide midfielder, but he's played a lot as a full back and central midfielder.

Moussa could also be called a left midfielder. He said he's best behind a striker but Peeters said he thinks he'll be better coming in from the left.

    Thanks for the constructive feedback.

As Scoham says not "lazy" as they have all played CM at various time. Many of the players can play in various positions but it would be too messy otherwise.

Never watched Soccer AM then? : - )

Henners, cardigan jokes, HI I can live with but not sure about Mr Bump : - )

It was tacked on to the end of another article on the OS that he'd signed a two year pro contract. Bizarre news management but not blaming the Comms team.

“I am happy man if I can bring in a young gun and if he is playing already at this level then I think he is going to be a great talent,” Peeters said of Gomez, who signed a two-year professional contract in SE7 earlier this year.

Think we all missed that, earlier this year what was we all doing to miss it,

Probably fretting over losing our messiah and getting relegated or in the case of others, on one of their regular trips to hairdressers :-)
  • All of our new signings have unique forenames as far as the history of Charlton players goes - at least, I think so.....or is there a forgotten Andre, Igor, Franck, Kurtis, Zak or Yoni?

    Defense is sorted.

Just need a Goalkeeper, Winger, CM and maybe a Striker.

Agree on the first 3 but I'm hoping for 2 strikers which will probably need PP and Church to leave. Definitely need at least one more even with the strikers we've got.

First Tal too. Johann looks a certainty - first Johann too. I think I have uncovered the recruitment policy.

I know big bob has only mentioned 442 and 4-3-3 but I really hope he adapts that to become a 4-2-3-1 as u think this would be a quality team!

    Pope
    Solly Morrisson bikey Wiggins
    Cousins buyens
    Gudmundsson Moussa Harriott
    Vetekole

Imagine the pace going forward! Would be crazy to watch! May concede a few but bound to excite!

I haven't seen our new recruits until Welling tomorrow, but we are assembling a bloody tough squad. Ben-Haim knows all about top-class opponents, and Bikey will get stuck in where it hurts. We have Franck Moussa, who will attack quickly from midfield, and Gudmundsson, who will skin defenders on the wing. We have a clutch of good strikers - Ventokele, Reza, Church, et al - who are each perfectly capable of slamming it in to the onion-bag.

There is absolutely no reason why we shouldn't come out fighting at Brentford in four weeks' time. We must be aggressive, fast, intuitive, rehearsed, subtle - and tough. There is no reason whatsoever why we shouldn't stamp our authority and have a damn good season.

Careful, Fanny - don't be rash. Think of Jonathan Swift, and William Hogarth. And Rowlandson, Gillray, Auberon Waugh and Richard Ingrams. Did Jane Austen or Ernest Hemingway need multiple exclamation marks or winking emoticons to make their serious point with humour?
