Saw this on the BBC website,
"QPR owner Flavio Briatore said he was part of Bernie Ecclestone's bid to buy Chelsea but missed out to Roman Abramovich. He now says he will take QPR into the Champions League in four years. (Daily Mail)"
A bit of a bold statement. Especially as there are teams with plenty of money already in the premier league (West ham/Spurs/Villa/Man City/Pompey) who are not getting champions league football.

The standard masterplan; money = obvious progress to Champions League. That said, they appear to have bought quite sensibly so far, if not quite in the CL bracket.0
