As it all seems to be a bit quiet, do you see the next move being someone leaving or someone coming in ?

Difficult - some teams have got games this weekend other havent which will impact on it i'm sure.

With us not having a game hopefully the team (Pards and RM) will be working on a couple of deals more vigorously.

    I say someone coming in

    I say no more deals
  • Only arrival i can see would be a central defender.
Only outgoing i can see may be McLeod on loan to a bottom half championship side.

Disappointing if true. We're a good centre half light to be a serious promotion contender.

Not sure I agree we are a CH light but more importantly not sure there is one out there much better than we have who is available.

Charlton are reported to have made a move for Pacos de Ferreira defender Tiago Valente.

The 22-year-old has caught the eye in the Bwin Liga this season and The Addicks posted scouts at the recent game with Maritimo.

It is believed that the impression he made was positive and club director Fernando Sequeira claims a third party representing Charlton has been in contact.

”We have been contacted by an agent representing Charlton and we have made our position clear,” Sequeira told A Bola.

”If they pay the release clause, a deal can be done.

"It is our desire to extend with Valente until June.”

problem with bringing someone in from abroad is that we need them to hit the ground running and adjusting to a new country, culture, team mates etc half way through a season would be nigh on impossible.

Isn't the loan deadline beyond the transfer deadline

Yes, but then I think it is limited to a maximum of 3 months. In the transfer window you can loan them for the entire season. At least I think that's how it works!!

Great if they get you automatic, a bugger if its just the play offs. Didn't we loan out Shittu to Blackpool before he left and his loan ended at the semi finals of the play offs.
