I see Archie Edwards was playing for us. I thought he was still in the U18s? Is this a rare outing for him at U21 level, or is he a regular there? The next big hope after Joe Gomez?

Main difference between us and other clubs is that our first team squad is a lot smaller. As such, we will never see the 3 x over age players in the U21's to strengthen it as we need them all in the matchday squad.
Demonstrates that we need to get another2 or 3 first teamers in during the loan window.0 -
Don't think it's desirable to have a squad that allows you to have over 21s playing in the Development Squad. Think our squad is about the right size, and we've got cover in almost all positions. Just might be nice to add a bit more quality perhaps to replace the likes of George/Church. Other than that I'd say we were fine for numbersDamoNorthStand said:

since cook,smith,hughes,gower,pritchard,cort,and wood have left the age of our squad has come down to where there is no one in our team today over 20. i don't think any of those lads will get near the first team this season.
The U21 of 12/13 won their south league, kent cup, plus nat league, all 3 comps that they entered.
From memory of three games i watched, Pope, Pigott, harriott,azeez,fox,Ajayi,cousins played Plus Smith, Poyet, and Lennon played in a couple of those matches, also Osbourne and Bradley jordon , who was a very good captain.
So as you can see that was a good crop that all came through at the same time.
The semi final against udders at sparrows lane Joe Pigott was on fire scoring 4 plus 1 hitting his own player on the line. shame up to now, not been able to replicate in 1st team.
