Top lad.
Things like that will be a highlight for life for that whole family. A bit of effort makes a world of difference, more players should take note.1 -

Great story, the sort of good actions that often get drowned out by the nonsense1

I could say Swansea don't know how lucky they are but I know from a Swansea supporter that they do! He's a good lad is our Jonjo.1

Worth mentioning as well that Jonjo flew back from his family holiday in Portugal to play in the benefit match in Eltham for the young lad that was involved in the serious car accident in South Africa in June this year. He then flew back out to be with his family later that evening.
Heart of gold, that lad.8 -
Proud of him.0

Seems a real good bloke does Jonjo with his action here and all he did following George Howards accident.0

What a top bloke. I wonder if all the footballer bashers out there will take note of this.1

It's really good to see a footballer that acts like a normal person.
I'm pretty sure anyone of us who get that sort of letter would react in the same way if we had the means - but hardly any footballer does anything like this. Fair play to him2 -
Excellent story for not only Jonjo but some footballers. I just wish Hodgson would give Jonjo his deserved international chance.1

To be fair, there's probably lots of players who do great gestures such as this, yet unfortunately, Sky sports and the tabloid press aren't really that interested in reporting on it, prefering to focus on all the negativity. This being a prime example. We only got to hear of it because his club (rightly so) are proud of his actions, so make a feature of it. As I don't read tabloids I can't say for sure, but I'd have a guess that this story didn't feature in any of them.Swisdom said:It's really good to see a footballer that acts like a normal person.

What a lovely story. I had tears of joy reading that. Which is a tad embarrassing as I'm sitting in the office at the moment. Perhaps if I tell them someone's died I might get the afternoon off ;-)1

Cut him and he bleeds red and white. Top player and top bloke. Well done mate. Only bloke I know who claps his wrists. Would like to see him at a top 4 club and in the England team at some stage. One of our own.2

What to say that hasn't already been said, but I shared it on Twitter to help the story go round.
