Racism at Charlton - Rio Ferdinand

`Honky' LOL....I wouldn't feel put down in the slightest if someone threw that at me. It's a 70's classic and just sounds ridiculous these days. I think i'd just laugh to be honest.

He was also well known by west ham at aged 11, played for London Schools.

Remember being asked at the meridian to round a team of U14s up as American side had come to play U12 London side came with 2 teams, U12 and U14.

We was there watching my mate play CH with Rio in the U12s

Remember beating them with a load of mates rounded up to play the U14s.

yeah, but i bet you aren't looked at funny by shopkeepers regularly or even people walking down the street or even followed and searched by the police simply because of the colour of your skin. I don't think many people realise the institutional racism that still exists for minorities which is part of the reason they find it acceptable to call you a honkey/white cunt etc, that and they're complete prats themselves.

I'd like to know how he knows the police stop and search due to the colour of the skin??? Did they say it???

Whilst not being able to comment on this persons circumstances; the Police have admitted that 30% of stop and search procedures in relation to people of black origin they have not had a valid reason for the stop. That is to say no crime has been commited in the area and they have stopped the black person for no reason other then a whim. I believe this is compared to less then 5 % in relation to people of a white minority.
