    All very disappointing, eh?

It's a bit like sitting in on New Years Eve and when the bongs have finished you realise all you're left with is a pre-recorded Jools Holland and a load of half cut c-list celebs acting like tits.

Well the little sh*tter seems to have signed for nice Uncle 'Arry:

One of the most protracted moves of the day has finally been confirmed and Jermain Defoe completes his switch to Pompey from Spurs, on the day he was left out of the England squad by Fabio Capello. We don't know the fee, but it's a "long-term" deal. (Beeb site)

Let's hope so, Bing. Can't afford to lose him too.

So Gray replaces Toddy, Cook replaces Reidy, & Halford comes in as general utility man (or replaces the seemingly already forgotton Mills).

And Sammy Sodje never went back to Reading.

Actually that doesn't look too bad and potentially a net £2M in the kitty. Not forgetting our new left back, just in from his holidays in sunny Scunny M. K Youga.

What is also good is that Pards has ensured that we've brought in somebody to replace Reidy when many on here were doubting it earlier in the day.

    That's it I'm off for a spot of shut-eye.
