Uncanny Comparisions

The year of winning the play offs, we made two last ditch signings, Mills and Youlds, both making debuts on a cold day in Crewe, with a healthy away following, and Mills scoring within minutes of making his debut, with a mini pitch invassion after when the second went in..

Do you remember holding up the match programme and singing "One page in colour, there's only one page in colour!" Most of their fans saw the funny side but one really short bloke came to the front of the crowd and offered out the whole Charlton end. Happy memories.......

So, Halford and his red cards = this season's Danny Mills (first time). That means Lee Cook just has to find himself an irritating, cheating little South American to punch in the play-offs, and up we go - uncanny! I'd certainly settle for a repeat of that Gresty Road result. Also remember loads of us dropping coins in their collection buckets. Wasn't a charity campaign as such; just a little help for the other CAFC, who kindly donated the points in return.
