Good evening folks.
Will be doing match thread tonight as usual. I don't believe Leeds United have a player service themselves, and online linked commentary from the BBC may not be available.
So I will try updates usual protocol.
Apologies in advance for typos, slowness, mistakes and such like.
Got to say any travelling Addicks at Elland Road tonight are the nuts, and probably nuts too with £39 on the night and £34 in advance. Each travelling fan tonight is a bit special surely?

That 'strike force ' worries me a little
  • Thanks in advance seth
  • Thanks in advance, Seth.
  • Looks to be 4-5-1/4-3-3 which I'm happy with as the Leeds midfield looks strong.

If it is then we need to get the ball in to George's feet with JBG and Harriott making the runs between the full back and centre half with Jacko arriving late.

I quite like that team. Naturally Igor would be ideal but if he's not fit enough to start, he's not for enough to start.

Could also be 4-4-1-1 with Cousins right, Harriott left and JBG playing centrally, as he did against Sheff Wed.
  • Or Harriott in the hole of course

Thanks Seth. Never rated Redfearn when he was with us. Lets hope he makes up for it tonight and gives us the three points. Charlton to win. (:

Leeds will be without captain Jason Pearce, who is suspended after being shown five yellow cards this season.
  • Looks like a 'hold em first half & put vetokele on & go for it in the 2nd half' team to me. Big reliance on Gudmunsson & Harriott to play well if we are to get a result out of this one.

Harriott must of been training well as he has not been in the first team picture for a while

Looks like a 451 formation to me, with Harriott and Johan providing the zip.

Strong bench. Plenty of talent to come on if needed.

How many bookings is JJ away from suspension?

Not surprised to see Igor on the bench obvious he wasn't fit Saturday despite the goal

Leeds owner has just said: he will buy players and head coach will coach the team. His reasoning is, when you change manager they want to bring in a new set of players, if he picks the players no need for change. I am worried as I can see some sort of logic in that, but would not like my team run like that

...it kind of is already. I can see the logic behind it.

Seems like a 433 with JGB in the hole and CH providing the pace to get behind them.

    C'mon Charlton

Might be looking into things too much here but does this possibly suggest we're expecting to keep him for the extra couple of months? Know he's only been with us a day or 2 and doesn't know the players, but with only 4 games in a month I would've thought he'd have started tonight if he was off after those 4.

Yeah I think I've looked into it a bit much....

That's a pretty decent 4-5-1 if Cousins is central with Buyens and JJ. Leeds aren't the most fluid of teams, so hopefully we can win the battle in midfield and our wide players can do damage on the counter.

    Fancy us tonight 2-0
