Faye to Stay

Amdy Faye's proposed move to Blackburn has broken down after FIFA refused to sanction the deal.

The Senegalese international has been on trial with the Ewood Park side, but because he has played for both Charlton and Rangers already this season, he cannot appear for another club under FIFA rules.

The Addicks appealed to football's governing body in a bid to force through the deal, but it proved unsuccessful.

Faye still has a year left to run on his Charlton contract.

    and by the way, yet another ABSOLUTELY useless rule dreamed up by mindless morons... who is this benefitting? clubs wanting to sign players? fans wanting to see new players? players desperate to leave when things aren't working?

    I can see it now, zero to hero Faye, scores the winner in the play off final (sorry) by miskicking a scuffed effort off his thy to score his second ever goal for the Addicks..

    Season long loan to Rangers, so even they can't get rid unless we say so.
    And, as we've seen, he can't sign for anybody else.

    But let's say, erm ...... Rangers don't make his signing permanent :-)
    then, folks, Faye's coming home for one more year.
