I'm surprised that he didn't hold off choosing which country to represent as I'm sure he could have had a shot with Belgium.

I often think that, assuming all players want to play for the best nation possible, but I guess some are more patriotic than they're given credit for.

Perhaps he is a proud Angolan and if so, fair play. But he was born and as far as I'm aware raised in Belgium. Just seems a bit odd to me.

He doesn't even start for Angola mate, I think you may be getting a bit ahead of yourself if you think he could have been playing instead of Lukaku and co.
  • He's lucky, at least 3 of his goals, Birmingham, Wendies & Reading the papers have reported that he was totally unmarked in front of goal. How many more defenders will be so obliging ? Lucky Igor, lucky Igor, lucky Igor !

    Aren't all good strikers lucky?
And the more they practise, the luckier they get.
  • His dad played for Angola and wanted him to play for them as well.

Danny Ings has been injured for a big chunk of the season so far dude. I'm glad that him and Charlie Austin are eating at the top table in football.

Igor is a proper finisher, his movement is very sharp and as clem said. He must be a nuisance to play against.

I wrote on here after the Portsmouth friendly that we had a hell of a player on our hands.

And as a result of that I went and backed each way at 150/1.

Maybe I am. I just think that a player of his age who has played in Europe might fancy his chances for the country of his birth at some point as I'd imagine he'd have ambitions of playing in the EPL which would raise his profile considerably. But maybe I'm underestimating how difficult it is to break through at that level.

Simon Church is a much better player and would suit your team in any league. (potinetal buyers.)

I know mate, but when he has been on he hasn't made even nearly the same impact as he did in the championship.

Agree that it it's of to seeming english strikers competing at the top level

Hasn't there been some sort of confusion as to whether he can play for Angola hence him not being picked?
