That he was on trial was going around at least as early as Friday but the club didn't want it out in public in case other clubs got wind of it. Also the player and his agent may not want it known that he "couldn't even get signed by Charlton".
If he had played then one of the 30 odd scouts there yesterday would have spotted him and worked out who he was even if he was listed as "A. Trialistino".
Up to Ketts and whoever his source is how much he passes on. He didn't name him but he gave out enough info for others to quickly work out who he was.0 -
