Maybe the whole thing is a lot of B*ll*cks. There is no story. There is the appearance of activity with regard to getting a strike partner for Vetekele when there is feck all happening.Henry Irving said:

Not sure what there is that doesn't make sense.vff said:The whole thing doesn't make any sense. I am not going to waste any more time in engage in this discussion. He's out of work.
He's having a trial with us. He may have a trial or trials elsewhere. The club could do with more strikers. This guy might be a good option. Or he might not. They are having a look at him to decide.
The club were trying to keep in hush hush for whatever reason/s. But it leaked.
The club didn't play him in an U21 game. Maybe to keep it hush hush, maybe he's not fit, maybe they have already decided to let him go or sign him.
It might go nowhere or he might sign. We don't know but worth a look just like the many other players who come and go on trial.
If the club could communicate with supporters in the straight forward manner that Bob Peeters does then things would go a whole lot better.0 -

Are you sure Dizzle, we had an Alex on trial when Curbs was in charge, Brazilian/Japanese, could not get a work permit, disappeared into Europe and eventually ended up at Chelsea. I know my memory isn't what it was, but I am sure this is soDizzle said:There was the Brazilian Player Alex who represented Japan. He didn't play for Chelsea though.

No, I am actually not saying that. I do not want the club to share information relating to deals. Absolutely not. The reverse. There is far too much information about prospective deals that end up or are clear are going no where. In some cases, such as the Delorts saga, that's partially due to the agent but the club are also responsible for mismanaging the information in some of the cases.Covered End said:

I would like to hear that the long standing need for Charlton to have signed a decent strike partner for Vetekele has happened. Similar to the way that Vetekele and Gudmundsson arrived at Charlton. I understand there is likely to be work going on behind the scenes to find the player. I don't want to hear about the 5 nearly deals that didn't happen for whatever reason. Hopes raised to be dashed time and again.
Bob Peeters is pretty straight forward and trustworthy. He shares what he can. About things that he is not able to share, he does not say too much or about ongoing things provides minimal comment. I would be fine if the club followed Bob Peeters method.0 -

I am not going to engage a long drawn out, nit picking, discussion with you Henry (though, I know you enjoy those) about the ins and out of the De Tulio non signing, non appearance in the Under 21 fixture, trial / non trail. Or the unofficial ways the club releases bits of information to manage Charlton supporters opinions about what is going on at the club (like they are looking like they are doing something about getting a striker in). The only important thing worth noting is that Vetekele is still without a quality strike partner.0

Yes but we don't have a game this weekend.
Meanwhile we have a potential striker on trial.
That's it really.
The club never said he would play in the U21 game.
You seem to be confusing what the Club have said (zero) with what has been speculated on the internet (that he's here and might play in the U21 game).
He is here and he didn't play in the U21 game.
That's it.

Sorry vff, but I believe you to be wrong on this occasion. It's people on here, other message boards & Ketts saying we are getting in a striker and that he would be playing in the U21 game.
The club have said NOTHING, NADA, ZERO, NOWT.
Please correct me if I am wrong.0 -
Fair enough. Club have said nothing officially about this player.1
