Would appreciate advice on the travel options from Eltham
- drive (in a rather elderly Yaris)
- train (including the bewildering options for getting the best price - just read the Forest thread. You get the best train prices on a bus website???)

There are still £9-00 single tickets available in both directions,but would arrive back in london at 12-10am,but you could travel via Stratford meaning catching a Jubilee line train to North Greenwich and a bus to Eltham.Tickets availabe on Trainline.com.0

Hi Prague the rail fare can be as low as £18 return. 17-00 from Liverpool St - Returning on 22-43. Journey is about 1-15mins.0

Stay in a hotel. I stayed in one that was cheap and clean with nice bar and a few mins walk from the ground.0

Still a bit suspicious about how we get back from North Greenwich to Eltham at 12.30 or so, are there really black cabs there at that time?

Just ring amber cars and get them to pick you up at the steps! Or data or any other local cab firm.0

Things have obviously improved. I've got this image of London where no public transport runs after midnight and you wait half an hour in the cold for a minicab which might eventually turn up after you ring them three timesCurb_It said:Just ring amber cars and get them to pick you up at the steps! there will be black cabs, but will be alot cheaper to ring local minicab0

You have been away a long time. You call it in advance, tell them the time you want them to be there, you will then receive a text to say its booked and then what car is coming nearer the time. Mini cabs arent even double fare anymore locally at Christmas.

Tickets are priced £32.50 adults, £23 over 60s and students with a valid NUS card, £22 U20s and £11.50 for U16s.
Adults travelling to the game children aged 16 or under can also take up the option of sitting in the family stand at Portman Road.
Tickets in this area are priced £27.50 adults, £19 over 60s and students with a valid NUS card, £18 U20s.
