is the guest of Bromley Addicks on Wednesday 3 December at Bromley Conservative Club.

I didn't realise he lived in Bromley but he is close enough to walk which means he'll be free to have a drink.

This is good as it means his story telling will be even better than normal

This is bad news as the branch will have to pick up the tab : - )

7.30 for and 8.00 start but the bar is open from about 5.00pm

Funnily enough my first ever live football match was Ipswich vs Blackburn in Nov 1993 and Youds scored the winner for Ipswich in a 1 nil win.

Now there is a centre half you'd never seen losing the ball in the other half in the 94th minute.

This coming Wednesday so come along and have a Christmas drink with the Bromley Addicks

Good night and good stories about John Barnes (top guy), Danny Mills (not), Neil Heaney's punch, Andy Todd, Curbs' champagne bill, Gazza, Huddersfield and more.

I think we mentioned the play-off final as well.

Top bloke Eddie who lives about 20 seconds walk from the venue.

    Andy Roberts has changed ...

A few years opening the bowling for the West Indies and Hampshire does that to a man.

    Just under £5k.
After winning the play off final, the players had to pay for their own hotel rooms, food & drink.

So Youds ordered a dozen bottles of the hotel's finest champagne (£400 -edited- a bottle back then) and it was put on Curbs bill (who had gone to bed).

No one liked Danny Mills (no surprise there).
  • Wouldn't that be £480?

Or £400 a bottle. £40 isn't much too pay for a bottle of "your finest champagne".
  • It was £400 a pop cristal
  • No wonder he didn't play much the following season! But really £40 or £400 it all tastes the same they would have been better of with some decent ales!
