  • If Bob's serious about beating Forest he's gotta put into practice what he's learned from the season so far.
Hopefully this will include (but not limited to): not playing square pegs in round holes, leave out possession wasting show-ponies and scatterbrains, Buyens isn't fit to lace Coquelin's boots.

With our threadbare squad he'll line up thus:
Pope; Solly, Bikey, TBH, Fox; Wilson, Cousins, Coquelin, Jackson, Bulot; Vetokele.
If really he's serious about going for a win, drop Fox, move Solly across, Wilson back and play KAG for an hour.

The prospect of Antonio v Fox kept me awake for most of last night but beggars can't be choosers...

Keep smilin' forest have been defensively ropey for a couple of months perhaps we can outscore them.
  • Pope
    Solly TBH Bikey Fox
    JBG Coquelin Jackson Cousins Bulot
    Vetokele

    1-0 Charlton.

Based on what I've seen so far, that sounds like a perfect summary of Bulot! I can see a 2-1 defeat
    unfortunately.
  • So do we not like Buyens any more? I was still thinking he was a really good signing. I must try harder to keep up. So: Crap: Buyens, Tucudean, Fox, Harriot, Bulot....ummm, Wilson? Is he in or out? Great: Coquelin, Vetokele, Poyet Solly....Hendo? In or out?

    Vetokele

    Bulot/Harriott JBG

    Jackson Cousins
    Coquelin

Cousins sit on antonio and tire him out. Le Coq pass it, Wingers inside and shoot. Pass the ball and keep it, our players are better.

    1-3
  • Pope
    Solly TBH Bikey Fox
    JBG Coquelin Jackson Cousins Bulot
    Vetokele

    1-0 Charlton.

I would have Buyens in there if fit meaning Bulot on the bench.
Cousins can help defend that flank as they're strong down the right.
    And Tucudean on earlier.
Thinking a win would be a great tonic but impossible to predict.

So would I, I just very much doubt he will be!

Jackson and Harriott score, both from Fox passes.

2 - 0 to Bobby Peeters' Black Army

Feel quite sorry for Harriott in a way. He's not brilliant but if George had taken his chance against Millwall, and Igor and Johann had put their excellent passes from him away Callum would have some assists to his name, which is what his final third passes have deserved recently. There's not really many other players in our team playing those kind of passes when we get in on goal so I think Bob needs to keep him in for now. We've got to put one of his passes away eventually.

    1-0 Charlton
  • Forest are not in a good place at the moment. They thought they had turned the corner but then slumped last week. They could well thump us but I am not so sure. I think we could bounce back and frustrate them. 1-1 and we must aim for a win next Saturday.

    Nottingham. I'm with you there.
  • Anyone know if the team are going by train... Went through New Eltham earlier and saw Jordan Cousins walking down the platform in his Charlton gear with luggage

The club probably read my thread on advance purchase tickets and thought they could save a few quid!

Fox needs to be on his game tomorrow to nullify Antonio otherwise Bikey will be doing loads of overtime to the detriment of the central defensive areas. Don't do predictions but I will take a draw now.

    Pope
    Solly Ben Haim Bikey Fox
    Jackson Buyens Coquellin
    Gudmundsson
    Vetokele Tucudean

Controversial but I'd take out Cousins and play 4312 with Johann offering in a free role. For all his faults Tucudean plays well with Igor and will create chances for us, and I feel Gudmundsson is wasted out wide as he doesn't have a lot of pace, and his shooting is better than his crossing. Harriott, Cousins, Ahearne Grant, Bulot, Onyewu, Wilson and Etheridge on the bench

    Can only see another loss.

Concede in first 15 mins and curtains for our goal shy team. If we score first mat hold on for a draw.

    Cousins was excellent last week.

Going to this one with some neutrals.
Consensus is a 2-1 win for Forest.
    Sadly.
  • The binary bores will produce a 0 and a 1 in the result

    I'm feeling optimistic

So 0-1 to the Addicks and Harriott the goal scorer

    hope you're right mate
