"The crowd was putting pressure on Nick Pope because they saw the game last week"

    I doubt that, Bob...
  • Bob Peeters and his players would do well to remember that some of us had already had five bad days in the office and were hoping our players could put in a good one. On the back of recent performances it was a another limp and spiritless showing.

    Link doesn't work
The link further down the thread works.

I also asked about Tony Watt as you'll see in the article but Bob sort of side stepped the question.

Surprised he didn't at least call him an 'interesting player'.

You have friends who drink in the Downham Tavern?
Seriously, if you're that desperate for a drink you end up in the there, you know you have a problem.

Shame the boozer opposite Grove Park station closed down, he could have gone on a little crawl!

People in the know reckon it's re-opened as a proper real ale pub.

Isn't too bad. Popped in for a pint a couple of months ago. Quiet and no sign of trouble but then again you dont get many Southern yobbos drinking real ale (unless its a rugby club). Beer was okay - mostly seemed to be craft ales that you don't see many other places. IIRC had a pint of Snowdonia Ale. Whatever I did have wasn't too bad.
might have to give it a whirl again soon.
