Has left after 1 week at WBA.

I thought it was quite interesting looking at Jewel and Pulis at the weekend both shouting orders out at the same time on the touchline. My understanding was that only one person was allowed to be in the "box" and you certainly couldn't tell which was the manager.

Jewel is probably not the sort of guy who is happy to play second fiddle but, in a;; honesty, if his studio work at Sky is anything to go by, he should be grateful to have such a high profile job in the PL.

Basically he came in, Pardew went Palace and cleared out Pulis' old guard, so West Brom said see ya to Jewell and gave his job to Tonys Cronies
  • He was asked to take a pay cut to allow for Jerry Francis to come in.

he needs to have a chat with Henning Berg's ambulance chasers .. they got him £2.25 million compensation for 57 days work
  • Perhaps he nicked Pulis 's alloys

Article in the Mail with Pulis saying Jewell thought he had a good chance of getting the job here. Little did he know he didn't even have a good chance of an interview.

West Brom boss Tony Pulis revealed that Paul Jewell, who left his role as Baggies coach after only a week, had been a contender for the managerial vacancy at Charlton since filled by Guy Luzon. (Daily Telegraph) ..

Paul Jewell is out of touch with the modern game. We saw that at Ipswich.

I am pretty sure that alot of the British contenders with Championship experience, would have seen us as a way to get back into the game and not been the answer everyone was hoping for.
