Everyone knows when they hear nothing from the club like last season now we have someone who is hapoy to keep the fans informed and speak to us outside the ground on Match days she gets attacked .... For the record 3 people were talked to about the job other then GL ...so did she lair no !!

Just because she smiles and talks to you, doesn't mean that she is informing you. Get real she is Roland's puppet (no doubt a well paid one). This great club of ours is being dragged down by this crazy experiment. Why can't you see it.

    Informed? she completely misinformed.

She should go. Being a CEO may look good on her CV, but she has been caught out and therefore lost any credibility

  • Not sure if mentioned already but Katrien is getting grilled on the train back.

She's doing as she is being asked to do by the puppetmaster and being paid well for the flak she gets. Credit to her for not hiding in an office, but that can't excuse that she seems to either be lying or completely kept in the dark herself. Either way, not acceptable for a CEO

Imagine if KM had said...Peeter's position had been scrutinised for the some time and it was decided that unless there was considerable improvement in the following month's results his contract would be terminated, and if that proved to be the case, Luzon would be appointed manager.
We felt there wasn't sufficient improvement during the timescale, and after the Brighton game Peeters was duly sacked. No other managers were considered or interviewed for the post as the decision to hire Luzon had already been made.

People would be complaining about being a feeder club, treated with contempt by the owner etc rather than simply being 'lied' to - a tenuous and pernicious accusation in itself.

I've had the impression that 'entitlement' was solely the preserve of children;it seems that grown men and women are equally as importunate.

I take it you're referring to my post – although for reasons best known to yourself you choose not to do so directly.

“tenuous and pernicious”? Care to try and substantiate that.

I wasn't referring to your post directly,I hadn't even read it.

The 'tenuous' and 'pernicious' comment concerned the numerous accusations - and not just on this thread - of KM being a liar.

Does anyone have attested proof to substantiate this?
It's a pity you didn't read his post. It's a sober summary of the reasons why people feel they were lied to (even if I personally feel the fault lies squarely with RD himself)
Why people feel they were lied to is not the same as were lied to.

Again, who can substantiate this accusation with actual proof?

I'll tell you who:no-one,and rumour, probability and conjecture don't count as proof.

As I wasn't sitting beside KM late afternoon/early evening on Monday when she claims the 'interview(s)' with other candidate(s) took place the points in my post might not convict her of 'lying' under the criminal law 'beyond reasonable doubt' test (which allowed John Terry to be found not guilty in a magistrates court on the basis of his somewhat improbable 'explanation' of why he said the words he did to Anton Ferdinand) but I suggest that they would pass the civil law 'on the balance of probability' test (which allowed the FA to find against Terry after the court case).

So on that basis, as I said in my post, I continue to believe that we were lied to and that (as rumoured) Luzon was the pre-planned replacement before Peeters' sacking with no serious consideration of any alternatives.

It must be a real juggling act between keeping us informed and happy, and still having to keep in with the boss who seems to have some very specific and individual ways of running the evil empire. Does this make Katrin the equivilent of the PR to Ming the Merciless?

I compare RD to Montgomery Burns, holed up in his beam-back bunker and evil empire HQ, Katrien is Smithers, trying to be reasonable but ultimately compelled to do her boss's bidding, and whoever is the manager this week is, of course, Homer. D'oh.

Can we have another club statement please katrien. That performance today was totally embarrassing and pathetic.
The fans have to be patient and Roly runs it his way. Keep thinking like that.
    What a load of bull.

I hope people are going about it the right way and looking to pass a message on to Roland rather than anything else.

That's disgraceful, do people honestly think she wouldn't have felt the bite from that defeat today?

That's really not good, whatever the rights or wrongs of the situation are.

Cue remarks to the effect that of she'd stayed in the kitchen, she wouldn't have to be dealing with this.

She is bearing the brunt of peoples frustrations with RD and it sounds like it is going a bit too far now or is that what people want? A young woman hung out to dry by her boss and now basically getting bullied. Fair play to her for travelling home on the train with the fans, she must've known it wasnt going to be a pleasant journey, think there should be others travelling with her to explain their actions this week too.

Maybe she should tell Roland what the fans want and what the clubs needs , and it ain't the network shite they keep coming out with, she is in a position at the club where she is gonna get stick unfortunately it's not always a bed of roses .
  • There were a couple of older men with her who worked for the club but they didn't really stand up for her tbh.

She'd be fired on the spot and replaced with a different puppet. What do you really think she could do?

Her feelings on the result are irrelevant. She is the mouthpiece for a leadership than many people think isn't working. It's just very bad timing for her that after a week of decisions and lies misinterpreted answers for which she was the face, such a bad result has occurred. Respect to her for still getting on the train in such circumstances, I very much doubt I or many others would have in her situation. She shouldn't be getting any abuse but if she didn't think she would then I'm afraid that just backs up some peoples opinion that she's clueless and naive (which I don't agree with). If she did expect it then she can't really get upset by it.

How many shouting brave men did it take to bring Katrien close to tears. They must be feeling so proud of themselves.

Don't agree with people aving a go at her but it happens , she in a position of high authority at the club and needs to explain to our arse of a owner that this network stuff doesn't work , money needs to be spent etc .

Don't agree with your last sentence - credit to her for knowing she'd get it and still getting on the train sure in the knowledge it would be unpleasant, and it would likely affect her. Must have been very tempting to let a few trains go before boarding.

So if KM was a man would anyone complain about it?

  • Should have made the team travel back on the train with the fans. That would have been fun!!!
