RD.....Hi Katrien, thought I'd let you know that after an extensive search, I've appointed one time CAFC favourite Jose Riga as manager of the Mothership.

KM......well done RD what a superb bit of business. Don't worry about media management, you can be sure that it will be perfectly handled from this end. I'm sure the CAFC fans will be delighted to know he is back in the fold.

RD.....I knew you'd understand. In the meantime I've got a couple more mothership players on the way and a highly rated Norwegian third division league striker lined up. That should keep the CAFC fans happy don't you think?

    I still don't get it.
    So the scenario is:
    RD phones KM.
    There's a bit of business with someone else taking the call then passing over to KM.
    Then RD tells KM he is appointing Jose Riga as "manager of the mothership".
    KM congratulates him - we see her approval as craven bootlicking.
    RD tells her he is overseeing the appointment of some not very good players.

    I guess the joke is the "Norwegian league third division striker"?

    Phone rings in KMs office.
    KM: Hello?
    RD: It's me.
    KM: Hello Roland.
    RD: Hello Katrien.
    Silence for 10 seconds.
    KM: Roland?
    RD: Yes, what?
    KM: What do you want?
    RD: What do you mean?
    KM: Why did you call me Roland?
    RD: I didn't call you Roland.
    KM: No. Why did you call me?
    RD: I called you?
    KM: Yes, Roland.
    RD: Why?
    KM: Yes. Why?
    RD: I don't know. Why did I call you?
    KM: Is it because you have a new signing lined up and forgot to tell us?
    RD: Hang on. (Mumbling in background). No.
    KM: You are thinking of appointing Jose Riga?
    RD: Don't be ridiculous, I just appointed Guy Luzon. Goodbye.
    KM: Goodbye Roland.
