I asked my boy what he wanted to do for his birthday treat this year and his reply was a tour of the valley and maybe the training ground to meet the players,does anyone on here know if either of these are possible

    I was told the club was planning tours of the ground again but not heard any more. best to contact them direct.

    half term would have been a good time but Kevin Nolan who normally hosts them has been ill so that might have delayed it.

    I hear the new museum is well worth a visit : - )

    Training ground I know they do tours for sponsors sometimes. Again ask the club if there is one soon and see if you can tag along.

    Thanks for the reply his birthdays not till July so plenty of time ill give them a ring tomorrow I think the training ground would be his 1st choice

    TBH the training ground in July might be a bit empty until the players come back and it's not all that. a bit tatty now and needs replacing.

    Sign him up on one of the summer football courses and he can go every day for a week (if you are local-ish)

    July? Be serious - you don't really expect Charlton to have any players by then, do you?

    It does but not sure when. Then they go off to Spain or Belguim.

    Just might not be any players to spot so need to time it well, if you can get in at all.

    Best to get in now with the tour as when we get back in the prem there be a waiting list as long as ur arm

    I'm pretty sure that the Training Ground visits are not available to fans in general as that would be unworkable.

    Have you considered a mascot package for the beginning of next season ? Not cheap but mascots go into the dressing room pre match and there are opportunities for autographs & photos as well as coming out of the Tunnel with their favourite player .

    He's got a season ticket so he's seen the decent start they built his hopes up he was saying "dad when we get in the premier league" then they let him down now he's saying "dad if we end up in league 1 what will happen . despite all that he still wants charlton to be part of his birthday

    That's nice. I was like that as a child. Pity we have to grow up.

    No point in doing the tour. Trophy room was burgled last night. Police are looking for a bloke who left the scene with a carpet under his arm.

    The dozens of trophies are actually on display in the museum now along with a lot of other stuff.
