Owns Phoenix Suns NBA franchise & was the fella who bid for Rangers recently. They turned him down for another of Mike Ashley's PayDay Loans!

So we would be part of a Basketball network?
  • Hmm, he tried to buy Glasgow Rangers in January, but they decided they didn't want him. That's recommendation enough for anyone. [nervous laugh]
  • In The Sun on Sunday which also says Chelsea want Callum Wilson from Bournemouth.

Just going on that one article, he's tight with the purse strings and tried to manage the team himself at one point?

    Hmmmm.

Who knows if Roland would sell to a potential buyer anyway?

Would that be better than a basket-case network?

Everything is for sale, if the price is right.

Having only been subject to a takeover 14 months ago, I cannot see us being high on the buyers list right now

    Out of the frying pan....
The only takeover id like to see is a fan buyout. Otherwise - for now at least - we might as well stick with the devil we know.

Probably go into joint ownership knowing our luck... Conversation:

    - RS: So I wanna buy your Football Club
    - RD: Look we're both sensible men, why dont we share ownership
    - RS: How in god tarnation is that gonna work
    - RD: Well I can deal with the transfers and you can be the Head Coach
    - RS: What in the hell is a Head Coach
    - RD: Means that you pick the team, I used to do it but the fans dont like me doing it for some reason
    - RS: You got yourself a deal mister
    - RD: Good... Just stay away from those pesky kids and their dog on CharltonLife; they see conspiracies everywhere

Why would a fan buyout be beneficial when we are losing several million every year?

Sarver's plan is to buy both clubs and Charlton would be a feeder club for Rangers.

Well okay then, I can't see RD taking less dough than what he paid for the club; and at this present time I can't see anyone paying more than what he paid, so to me that renders the club not for sale.

And anyway, thass a bit fickle ain't it?
