Perhaps people should have to wait at the top of the steps while play is in progress, as at The Oval. Mind you, no shortage of people getting up for beer and toilet breaks there ...

It would be nice if some of these football for a fiver merchants came to the other games as well. Nearly every time this happens i have to move someone out of my seat that i have sat in for the last 20 years. And before you say some cant afford it, i agree but many can.

Someone's got a chip on their shoulder.

Perhaps wait till a goal is scored and then all do a mass musical chairs job just before play resumes. I'd pay a fiver for that!

Presumably, there will be a lot of upset people being turned away on Saturday.
Not everyone is social media savvy or even know Charlton fans that are, who would have told them.

When we say 'sold out' , do we mean to capacity or just under like the last few times?

I don't think the away end is sold out completely so it will under. My guess is around 26k

As of 11am on Wednesday 25 February, 1,800 tickets have been sold from the 2,000 allocation. Subject to availability, tickets are due to remain on sale at the Huddersfield Town Ticket Office until 4pm on Friday.

There is also planned pay on the day for Town fans at the Valley at the South Stand away end ticket office in CASH ONLY, with the price remaining at £5.

    Brilliant, well done the club.
(A couple of 3-0 wins probably helped with the final sales)
Great for the players and I hope they respond with a performance a full house deserves. (And a win of course).

Fantastic. I wonder if every game was £5 we would have sell outs all the time ?

i'm sure we'd definitely see a much larger increase in average attendances. I'd love it if for a season RD took a hit and matched German prices with most tickets being ~£8-10
  • Assuming we have been selling home seats in South Stand?

    Well done the club.
  • This season in London Udders took 2700 to Fulham and only 600 to Millwall at full price. Mind you novelty visit is Craven Cottage these days.

No such place at the Valley.

We've not been selling home seats in the Jimmy Seed stand

Home areas are sold out not the whole ground

Shame - used to like having home in all 4 stands. Was last time for the League One final game against Hartlepool?

I think we may see some pretty aggressive season ticket prices for next season

I think you'll see some pretty aggressive seat moves tomorrow when people decide to sit largely where they fancy - especially if several hundred singles have been sold.

Yes Ross, and the Pope's catholic.

If just 400 of those fans decide to come back for more matches it will have been a success. (ex fans, new fans, fans of other teams who are away tomorrow)

That's why we need to be seen to be playing attacking but controlled football.

We have been to defensive under the last 4 head coaches at Home.

I don't mean Gungho, but surely football should be about going for it at home ?

I'll leave others to do the deciphering of whether or not "football for a fiver" matches are a decent way of attracting long term supporters, I'm just a fan who loves to see a full Valley so well done the club for selling out for tomorrow.

Hopefully we'll have a section of the Jimmy Seed onsale to home fans now if Huddersfield haven't sold their allocation.
  • Brilliant to see this sold out
Let's hope we can make a bit of an atmosphere (for longer than 5 mins) that will interest the youngsters in wanting to come back
Some sexy football, plenty of goals , 3 points , a bit of a sing song , ten pints and a snog from SCP , if Carling did days at odd fooball clubs .............

If anyone sits in the empty seat next to mine there's a good chance I'll go a bit loopy.
