to be classed as 'proper' pub side, this is the question you need to ask 15 mins before KO in the changing room

    Trev,
Not sure if you have enough now, but my boy is keen and available if required. So if you want a supporter (me) and a skillful 23 year old, then let us know.

Ive spammed everyone a PM with this, but posting it here in case Ive missed anyone:

Just a quick reminder about the supporters a game tomorrow.

If everyone can meet outside the changing rooms at Hackney Marshes at 9.30am. Ill be wearing Charlton gear so should be easy to spot.

As mentioned on the initial post its £5 to play which covers the pitch/referee hire, so get that to me at some point before or after the game. Any extra cash left over will be put towards our next pitch hire.

If we have a load of subs we will swap players in and out so everyone will get a decent chunk of the game on the pitch.

Oh and feel free to bring along any other players or supporters!

Thank you to everyone joining in, and see you all tomorrow!

Considering at least 2 of our players are seriously hung over, maybe its best we dont have live updates

A sense of progress from the outset for the supporters team - this time the pitch had grass on it, we had more than one substitute and at least half of us knew each other's names. There was even a comment overhead before the game about us being a decent outfit, so word of our 100% win record has obviously spread.

The Addicks were playing into a fierce wind in the first half and the Os had the better of the early exchanges, winning the second ball easily thanks to an extra man in midfield. However some smart counter-attacking play saw Charlton race into an early 2-0 lead. I don't know the name of the smaller guy who was playing up top for most of the game (sorry mate), but his calm finish over the keeper into the wind was the first of two very well taken goals.

Orient grew into the game and knew there was something in it for them, the 5 man midfield finding men on the overlap a little too easily for Charlton's liking. One of these chances led to a penalty, and by around the 25 minute mark the score was 2-1. After that the home team controlled the game for long stretches and could have added more if some good chances hadn't been snatched at/sent into row Z. The Addicks were eventually punished for failing to clear their lines with Orient bundling the ball home - 2-2 and everything to play for.

With the wind making everything difficult for Charlton, a draw at half time was nothing to sniff at. More action was in store before the break though - some nifty build-up play on the left led to a free kick on the edge of the box and Greg/Red One struck a perfect ball to the far post. Another of CAFC's debutant strikers (Miles?) was on hand to nod home. 3-2 to the Addicks at the break.

The second half wasn't quite as action-packed but saw some of the best play yet from this fledgling Charlton team. In sharp contrast to the first 45, we were winning everything in the middle and hardly giving the opposition a touch for stretches. The second half against Dulwich Hamlet was all about guts and endeavour; this time it was all about Charlton's professionalism and composure. The back four were imperious and the midfield were growing in stature with every pass, adding an extra touch of physicality to shut Orient out. All that was missing was a goal to make the game safe. After a number of chances went begging, including Charlton hitting the bar, it seemed like a nervy finish could still be in store - that changed when Charlton broke and found themselves with an extra man in the opposition box. The ball fell to the smaller striker mentioned above and he finished coolly once again, making himself a strong contender for MOTM in the process.

The Addicks proceeded to see out the last 10 minutes without any late dramas. The first team can't stop scoring 3 goals at the moment - the fans only score 4.

    Roll on the next one!
