I can undertand that Cafc Player could be a good resource for exiled Addicks but it would be nice if they didn't flagrantly take the piss with sub standard commentators. Perhaps an aspiring commentator/Charlton fan could set up some kind of fans run unofficial rival to Cafc Player?? It would probably be to hard both logistically and technically I suppose.[/quote]
ill throw my hat in the ring for this but it would take a bit of funding initially but at least you will get a passionate commentry0 -

A good idea, the video you made was quality, if your commentary is half as good as that then- as Chris Kamara would say-- Game On!!0 -
Off to ITV. Just as their football coverage couldn't get any worse.

Jacqui Oatley is a good commentator. It was that Emma bird that used to do my head in.1

I think she's a perfectly decent presenter. I presume she's effectively taking over from Matt SmithThe Red Robin said:Off to ITV. Just as their football coverage couldn't get any worse.

In that case I hope she knows how to pronounce Jesus Navas and Dave Silva......oh hang on, she won't need to now.1

Well Clive Tyldesley will be able to teach her the correct pronunciation of James Rodriguez...Bryan_Kynsie said:In that case I hope she knows how to pronounce Jesus Navas and Dave Silva......oh hang on, she won't need to now.

If you read her tweets she is a freelancer and will continue to work with the BBC, so yes she is clever.0
-
More fascinated how she gets on covering the Darts.0
-
Much better commentator than many of her male colleagues who get more work.0

Enlightening thread0

I think she's a good commentator in terms of the content. It's just that she has an extra irritating whiney voice.0

That's why she's a better presenter and interviewer, as in normal speech she doesn't go screechySillybilly said:I think she's a good commentator in terms of the content. It's just that she has an extra irritating whiney voice.

I saw her, for the first time, this week, hosting women's football. The football was entertaining, skillful and enjoyable. She, with her repeated 'up for grabs', was not. Why is it that every commentator sees it necessary to refer to every damn thing as 'up for grabs'? Why cannot (well-paid) media commentators refrain from such clique?
