Middlesbrough striker Jeremie Aliadiere has lost his appeal against the red card he recieved during their 3-2 defeat at Liverpool on Saturday.

Aliadiere, 24, was sent off in the 85th minute for slapping the face of Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano.

A Football Association regulatory commission rejected the appeal and he will now serve a three match ban.

EX-Arsenal striker Aliadiere has also received an extra one game ban as the appeal was considered frivolous.

not forgetting Petrov sent off for doing exactly what Gallas did to Nani last week. The silence form the FA is deafening.
  • SSN says Middlesbro are taking issue over the faceless committee that has declared their appeal frivolous.

    Deja vu
