Hall Of Fame Results

Thanks to everyone who voted this year. In the pre-1950 category, the winner was Harold Hobbis with 56% of the vote. He was an England International in the Thirties who played 266 games for Charlton and appeared in two promotion teams. Second was Jimmy Oakes.

In the 1951-80 category, it was very close but victory went to another Engand international and a real club legend, Derek Ufton. (His England shirt is displayed in the Museum). He achieved 46% of the vote. John Hewie was runner-up.

In the post-1980 category Mark Kinsella stormed home with a massive 84% after finishing runner-up three years running. Carl Leaburn, a controversial figure as always, came second. The three winners will have their names added to the permanent Hall Of Fame board in the Museum , while Oakes, Hewie and Leaburn will be put back into the vote in 2016 along with two further candidates in each category.

Who do you want to see nominated next time ?

The ones who were nominated/picked in the mid 90's when the club did a hall of fame back then.

If we can have duplicate entries two seasons running I'd go for Kingsley and Hewie again. Assuming that you'd prefer to mix it up a bit though, what about:

Norman Smith - Only player in Charlton history to win two league winners medals as a player.
Colin Powell - 358 appearances, doing the hard work for a goal of the season, years of service as groundsman.
Saša Ilić - Ten consecutive clean sheets and that penalty save.

Pre 50s - Norman Smith as Kingsley isn't eligible

    50 to 80s - Matt Tees and/or Ray Tracey

80s to now - Paul Mortimer and/or Kish

Can't believe that these 3 are not in there. Have they even been nominated? Very strange if they have not
