Home record

Does anyone know, please,if we have ever had a season where we have not lost a home game?
If so,which season(s),if any?
I can't recall that happening in 51 years of watching!

Presumably Arsenal when they went the entire season undefeated about ten years ago, think Chelsea have done it a couple of times under Mourinho.

We didn't lose a single game at the Valley between 1986 and 1991.

I cannot remember the last time I saw us lose at the Valley, or win or draw for that matter. I don't go anymore!

We were unbeaten at home in 1935/6 season.

We finished runners up to Manchester United and so were promoted to the top flight for the first time.

We lost 9 away games and finished on 55 points (= 77 under three points for a win) in a 42 game season.

Think I right in saying In season 97/98 we lost only one home league game

And to a team that's no longer in the league.

Great, now I have to remember yet another reason why I hate Stockport.

Technically you can draw a game you don't actually play...
  • So,a bit before my time--good research.Thank you.
I was unable to attend our games at The Valley between 86 and 91 due to a problem renewing my season ticket, and envy those who witnessed that extraordinary run!

    D'oh.

    W15 and D6
    Now corrected.

    Thanks for pointing out.
  • Must have been good that season, undefeated in 22 out of 21 games.
    Truly great. :)
  • Maybe on the 80th anniversary of that undefeated season the team can replicate the achievement.
