Top 10 most deflating games

Man U away in the Cup, Schmeichel sent off, 'things can only get better'
Ipswich at home in the Cup many years ago - 2-1 up but lost 3-2 to two last minute goals
Sheff U at home last season - went 1-0 up then stopped playing and they inevitably equalised
Hammering Wet Sham 4-0 last season - didn't count for anything in the end, did it?

OK, I'll admit I've run out of happy pills :-(

Noway, when fulham scored that goal to equalise (pards first game perhaps), that was the worst i felt at a charlton for as long as i could remember, made me feel actually sick!

Any poor result against the yid scummers hurts me massivley. None more so than the 5-1 last year. I thought the 2-3 hurt but to have all the plastic yids round my way wind me up about that one when they had never been required violence to shut them up.

What about Ipswich at home last game of the season when we'd already won the Championship? Only Charlton would still go and lose badly. 3-1 I think it was!

I tell you the game that really pissed me off in the first relegation season was the Forest game where fat Redfearn missed a pen.

A few more upset me, but only because it was made apparent how cutting that league could be and by the time Sheff Wed rocked around I think we'd all had enough and the players were shattered. Derby at home was the game that singly made me decide that Powell would become a legend.

Was at many of the above but nothing beats the realisation of the 2-1 defeat at Coventry in our first season up. John Aloisi got sent off and we couldn't hold onto our 0-1 lead. You could see it happening and we were powerless to stop it. Trying to remember the name of the weasel faced scrote that scored one of their goals, played for Leeds too. Whelan or something?

Alex has beat me to it. No passion, no pride, no bottle. Only two players wanted it today. Paddy and matty. I don't the play offs any more. We'll embarrass ourselves.

today was abysmal and anyone who thinks going down and being in this league is good must be kidding themselves cos even in the dullest times with curbs it was a 1000 times better than watching that inept performance today... still things can only get better

Charlton v Palace, December 1989. The closest I came to giving up on Charlton, ever.
